he was my boyfriend very long time ago. maybe 10 years ago, but nothing happened. we dated about 6 months but I didn't sleep with him. Then we broke up and met again some years ago and started acting like good friends. very closed ones. through our friendship he had a crush on me and I didn't feel anything for him, then I had a crush on him but he didn't feel anything for me. bad timing, I guess. we always had these long talks and we were always very open to each other. then he came up with a weird asking. He suggested we should become lovers. I didn't accept and he used to say this for one year. I wanted a relationship with him, not to be lovers, but in a moment of madness we slept together. It happened twice. then we stopped. now, after one year I felt like talking to him. some days ago he called me, but I didn't answer the phone. the point is that now he has a girlfriend (they were together for one and a half year in the past), but he wants to sleep with me. I said no, because I don't do such things. anyway. I don't know why he is doing this. he told me he never cheated on her, but that he wants me and only me. does he need diversion?

I think you hit the nail on the head, he wants a diversion. I am sure that he still has strong feelings for you, but in this world you can't have your cake and eat it too. Let him know that if he's persists if trying to bed you again, he will lose you as a friend also, and you can always threaten to tell is girlfriend what he is up to.

Say no he is a jerk, the kind of guy who has a girl that cares about him but would mess around behind her back is not anyone good at all. The same thing he does to her he would try to do to you.
