The thing that you will brake your hymen when you loose your virginity is a myth. The reason for this myth is that in some cultures your supposed to bleed when you have your first intercourse when you're married. In some cultures they even take it so far that they try to reconstruct the hymen by sowing a thread between the "walls" of the opening in the vagina, causing it to rip out when you penetrate, which of course cause bleeding.
