Guys, have you ever looked at your own sperm under a microscope?

So back when I was in college I had to take one advanced level science course as part of my degree program. So I signed up for cytology (the branch of biology that studies cells). We were all assigned our own microscopes for the semester, and one night back in my room I got curious about looking at my own sperm. So I. . . um. . . produced a sample and placed a drop on a clean slide and put a cover slide on top and looked at it. It was pretty fascinating. It was cool to know that I had lots of sperm swimming really vigorously and that I was fertile af. I was also glad that my sperm didn't bump into each other and bunch up like Homer Simpson's. So for you guys out there, I recommend you try this once just for fun.

  • Well I have a friend who is an embryologist and I am considering it as a career. I was able to spend some time in the lab with her at weekends and saw what she did... spermicide counts, selection for fertilisation etc. Anyway the next weekend I took along a sample from my boyfriend and counted his little swimmers and all that... haha. Was amazing and fun, although he was a bit nervous about it all.

    • Cool right?

    • I thought cool yes

  • We did that with my boyfriend’s sperm once. It was weird seeing those little things wiggling around. Later I wished I hadn’t looked because for a while, after we had sex or I gave him a BJ, all I could imagine were those thingswiggling inside me. Lol

    • Yeah, lol.

    • And the weird thing was there were so many in one little drop. Now I understand why pulling out is so risky.

    • It call pre-cum.

  • you're a lot more than just ''tad curious'' lol.. but yeah I would have done the same If I were a guy xD

    • Well, if you're really dedicated you could harvest and examine your own ova. Let me know if you do. Particularly if they're swimming around too...

    • @JamesS1980 I'm not that dedicated :D

    • Girls take into this just as much as males

  • I think I saw a sperm cell swimming backwards in your animated gif, that _did_ look cool! I bit like Michael Jackson doing a moonwalk. I got a small hobby microscope as kid and played with it for the usual stuff. Dusted it off after I really got semen. I thought it was cool as f. to be able to see it and feel re-assured re. fertility.

    • I love it! Awesome af sperm doing the moonwalk!

    • Cool brother

  • Actually, I read that this was among the first things the inventor of thee microscope en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonie_van_Leeuwenhoek looked at.

    • Interesting. I didn't know that.

  • The closest view I have had of my sperm is the few times it squirted in my eye when masturbating lol

Never considered this. Am definitely going to give it a look!

  • Nope, but I've seen it through a telescope. What superiority complex? XD

    • You shot it out that far huh?

    • That's OK; the most important is you can ejaculate your semen and sperm.

  • Yes, I and many of the girls and boys I grew up with that one of the boys masturbates to collect semen and sperm. We, as a group, looked at it under masturbation so we could see what sperm looked like.

    • Interesting that it was a mixed group (boys and girls) doing that. It's quite fascinating to look at the little swimmers. But I wonder if some of the girls were grossed out by it.

    • Let me try the word microscope in play of masturbation.

    • I knew what you meant.

  • no i haven't

  • Nope, but that was an interesting myTake... long live Homer

  • Hahaha... lol
    Interesting story. 😅

  • I actually have. it was quite interesting.

  • Did you try to look at a human female egg?

    • That would have been a lot harder to come by (no pun intended).

    • I would have loved to but I didn't know how to extract one. lol :)

    • The female egg has no life until the sperm enters it and makes the first human cell. The egg and sperm together make the first human cell, and then it divides into other cells, and keeps on and on till it make a human as we see when a baby come out.

  • Very active i must say. .

    • I assume you haven't tried? (I sure as heck havent!)

    • @CaliSoccerGuy no never...😂

  • Ha. This is f***ing disgusting.

    • This is Fucking science

    • @JazzyDoll19 Oh sure, lits of "technique" in this one.

    • you can leave now

  • Yes, i also swallowed a guys cum just to know what it tastes like

    • That is normal.

  • It looks like my profile picture

    • Well that looks normal.

  • lol no.

  • awesome, if i had the chance to do this i would've probably done the same.

  • @TadCurious hahaha funny take but no last time I used a microscope it was in my primary advance biology lesson when I was 6 so nothing was active than the closest cell I saw under a microscope that was part of my body it was my finger nail

    • OK, at least you saw something.

  • The last thing I was up to after an orgasm is becoming scientific.

  • yes, in my teens we jerked off in the restroom and then took in to class and looked at it

    • You would not do that today in the USA; you would be arrested.

  • no, no I have not

  • That's actually pretty cool, I would love to do that. Unfortunately, I don't have a microscope.

  • Never tried it, but sounds interesting!
