Are guys turned off by razor bumps/ scars?

I have severely sensitive skin and no matter the method (shaving, waxing, etc) I use I end up with razor bumps. I have been stalling with this guy that I have been talking to for months due to this problem. Are guys turned off by razor bumps/ scars?

  • Do u use shaving cream or do u use body wash/conditioner/etc? Use shaving cream. They're thicker and have more foam or sud or whatever u wanna call it. I use to shave all the time using shaving cream and did not get any razor bump. I shaved using body wash then got razor bumps😑. Also NEVER shave dry and don't shave fast. not sure if that could be ur issue as well but just putting that out there for u to take into consideration. And based on my experience... nope, he didn't care. Maybe u can check out lotions for razor bumps. Never tried them to recommend any specific one.

    • When I would shave I used shaving creams, even tried hair conditioner. My 1st time getting a wax and same results. Its very frustrating to deal with!

  • I know your pain! I have super sensitive skin too. A couple of days ago I did some home waxing downstairs (just bikini, not the whole lot or anything XD) and it turned out that day that my boyfriend wanted to have a bit of fun. I was super embarrassed because I still had red bumps everywhere from the waxing but he didn't even care. He knows I have sensitive skin and I've told him how it gets and he still loves every inch of me. If this guy does get bothered about something that you can't control, then it's his problem. But I would think most guys won't care either way :)

  • I used to get horrendous bumps after shaving or whatever, then I started using "miracle oil' it's on lovehunny (might just be a UK website) and now I never I get smooth skin after! Message me if you need a link :)

    • Get bumps, * 🙄

  • I doubt they'd really notice but you could always try very sensitive cream

  • guys won't mind at all, i prefer when girls only trim not shave bare so i don't deal with this prob as much lol

  • Not at all. It's absolutely ok.
Are you girls turned off by razor bumps on a guys torso due to shaving?

    • No. Thats no problem with me. I actually would try to help heal the issue, but that's just me!

    • Would you make him stop shaving?

    • No i would trying out waxing the area. Try applying aloe vera to the area

  • Same thing with me girl! It's fine.

  • Depends on the person to be honest

  • Wouldn't bother me in the least.

  • There are lotions for razor bumps. There is one on Amazon, I can send the brand name if you like. Have you used any product? Also, I suggest using aloe after shaving. This may not prevent your skin getting scars, but it will reduce those.

    • What is the brand name? I have a bottle of Tend Skin

    • I used both tend skin and smooth touch. I am not sure if tend skin is better for you but i like smooth touch more. I kind of healed my legs better because i have the same sensitive skin problem like you do.

  • Neither are a big deal, but in my personal opinion no razor bumps simply because you shouldn't shave or trim down there. I'm not going to stop you if you do though.

  • please stop injuring your skin. get lasered by a pro. or buy the at home laser like tria.

    • I never knew there was a at home laser kit. I will look into it. Thank you!

  • Hell yes. That's a total turn off.

  • It's not a big deal

  • How bad are they?

    • Its not bad but I personally hate getting them. My ex boyfriend would always tell me its nothing it doesn't bother him, we were together for 3 years. But this is a new person, so I guess I am nervous about what he thinks lol

    • Yeah I get it... I don't think they care tbh. I have a pretty bad scar on my leg from an accident and it's never bothered anyone I've dated.

  • Not a big issue to me

  • yeah. scars will be turn off for me

  • razor bumps are hot

  • no I appreciate the work on your behalf to look good

  • Not really, hair in fact are a turnoff.

  • use nair instead. it makes for smoother skin. but it is a hassle.

  • Only if they're on her face.

  • it's all good. Not a turn off at all. As long as a person takes the effort to keep herself hygienic and presentable I personally have no problem.

  • Who gives a fuck anyway

  • I guess they might wonder what they were from?

  • I don't know, if it is really bad and ugly, I guess. but scars like that are something you can't do anything about, so shit happens.
