I was in that situation once. So no, I don't think it extends out of the bedroom.
A couple of things played in my favour. First, I'm not American and my country doesn't have that history with slavery. Second, she knew I wasn't racist. (I was dating her after all.) And third, if we were both white and she was into some master / slave play there would be zero concern. Introducing concern just because she was black, would kind of be racist in itself.
If be open to it. It wouldn't make me think less of her or change how I wanted to treat her outside the bedroom. Same as any other D/s stuff.
It's not a particular fantasy of mine but I like D/s and I do find black women attractive so if she was into it I'm sure I could get into it.

I kind of like a level of humiliation too, so I understand where you are coming from. I personally wouldn't allow it to leave the bedroom and I don't think most people would either, but there are exceptions and you should shut that down immediately.
