How does a pregnancy scare affects guys?

After a pregnancy scare how long would it take you guys to get over it?

My boyfriend and I had between together for 10 months when we went through a pregnancy scare. It was my boyfriend that made me think I could be pregnant. I took 3 tests, all of which came out negative, and made sure by going to the clinic. It turns out it was just stress.

I got over the pregnancy scare in about a week and was ready to start having sex again. It took my boyfriend almost 4 months before he was comfortable to have sex.

Is it normal for it to take that long for a guy to want to have sex again?

I really signed up to answer this question iam a guy and iam really paranoid about these thing i had a pregnancy scare even when there is less than 0.1% chance of pregnancy dry humping over underwear it was. U need to understand that it takes a toll on guy's mental health it is really a big problem i was sleepless for 2 months those. Months were the worst I've lost appetite lost intrest in everything things like cuddling which used to give me pleasure were now giving me panic attacks we did all poosible test to confirm that she is. Not pregnant but still i couldnt get over it it took me around 6 months to fully get over it and yes idea of having close contact still terrifies me to my core

What sort of precautions are you guys taking? Birth control? Condoms? etc

Perhaps increasing the amount of protection will lower your bf's worry level.

We use condoms. He said that there is nothing I can do, that it is something he has to get over. I've asked what I can do. I feel bad that he is so bothered.

whenever i have been in a relationship whereby things have been great and stable pregnancy doesn't bother me, as i am supportive and would stand by those I love regardless... but almost a year ago my now ex got pregnant and she didn't know, she lost it by miscarriage and it devastated us...
had we have found she was pregnant again I would have loved that child as i would have even if the other one had been born
