Sure, there's an attitude of political correctness regarding circumcision in terms of statements like "circumcision is not natural" or "it's so wrong to tamper with your body like that". But I beg to differ. People have been altering their bodies in many different ways according to the values of different cultures throughout history. As long as circumcision is not forced upon anyone, I don't find it wrong to encourage a guy to get circumcised.

Well said, in a perfect world this would be ideal but so many times people cannot/won't use safe sex practices and be susceptible to the consequences and circumcision can make a difference. Especially if it's working in poor areas or low social economic areas. I do agree with you but I don't think it's that easy. circumcision is a good thing in my opinion for these reasons.
If people can't or won't practise safe sex they shouldn't be having sex, and the vast majority of countries that could afford mandatory circumcision already have government funded birth control including condoms to prevent the spread of STD's. If they simply won't practise safe sex that's their choice and they wear the outcome of that regardless. Mutilating children instead of increasing the standards of education and availability of condoms and STD testing doesn't seem like a better idea to me
I don't think it should be.. because there's no scientific data to prove your theory of health benefits.. I personally think it's alright if the kid has been circumcised when he was under 3yo... but adult circumcision can be very painful and I don't think it's worth it

Absolutely not. Circumcision has not been shown to reduce any Syd transmission in developed countries. Only condom use, regular testing, and abstinence can prevent stds. Contrary to what you're asking, routine infant circumcision should be illegal. I guess it may be helpful in low-income and poverty stricken areas, for easier cleaning and such, but I think we have other problems to worry about first, rather than forcing all the people to mutilate their penises, which, frankly, I disagree with in the first place.
if it's cared for then the foreskin can stay and no health issues ensue. the reduction in disease is basically a myth, even if it did reduce deserve it won't be by enough to make a difference, a condom would work better.
