Yeah that happens to me sometimes. But I think it's when I eat a lot of sweets. And I don't think it's the soap. I think the soap is removing the normal vaginal smell and then you are left with the sweet smell coming out of your vagina.
I wouldn't worry about it. It's probably just a body chemistry thing. I can smell a difference in my armpits when I eat red meat too. You might just have a hyper sensitive nose to small chemistry changes that other people don't have. My partner says he can't smell it when it's like that but I have a nose like a bloodhound so it's very strong to me. I'm always saying "I smell like...You smell like...The dogs smell like..." So it's never stressed me out that my vagina smells different from time to time cause I've noticed everyone smells different from day to day.
It rarely happens to me but I've never had a problem with it medically or anything so I think it's no big deal.
That's not wierd, whatever you wash it with it will smell like. I once washed with blueberry soap and it smelled like that. But you're not supposed to use normal soap on your vagina, it messes up your pH balance and could give you an infection which in that case it will definitely not smell like cake. Use a soap that's used for your vagina such as, Sweet Spot. link
Does that sweet spot stuff really work? I mean no one ever told me that I shouldn't use soap down there and I always have but maybe that's not the best for me.
It's just not good for you at all, you can get it comfirmed by your doctor. Yes, the sweet spot products have a lower pH, that is the same pH as your vagina so it only cleanses it, it doesn't affect the balance in a negative way.
Um that could be directly related to a scented soap.. Are you using a sweet sugar or vanilla soap? And also, you should never wash down there with scented soaps, it is a know irratator on hte sensitive skin.. Hello bladder infection.
There are several bacteria that feed on yeast and secrete waste that "smells sweet." Vaginal secretions produce a fluid that is fermented to an acid by the "good" bacteria that are present in your vagina. This acidity helps actually helps protect the vagina from the bad bacteria and more so YEAST.
Washing your vagina with antibacterial soap is going to upset the natural bacterial flora. Antibacterial soap doesn't kill all bacteria, nor some bacterial species. The bacterial species resistant to the soap will increase in number in the absence of bacterial species killed by the soap. I could be a certain bacteria is secreting the smell.
More likely, sanitizer ingredients such as fragrances and the antibacterial agents were absorbed by mucous membrane which is the interior lining of your vagina.
lol, I know this for certain that you shouldn't wash down there with soap and especially anti-bacterial soap, you ruin your ph balance or something, just use water or a vaginal soap emulsion.
