Does this mean I have a weak pelvic floor?

I've heard that when you owe, if you can stop and start the flow any amount of times that you want, it means your pelvic floor is in good shape. Well, I'm very very young. Too young to even have to worry about this issue, but sometimes I can stop the flow of pee, but other times, I just can't. What is with this? Does this mean my pelvic floor is really weak? I've heard it could mean your vagina is less tight than it needs to be. I shouldn't even need to worry about this because I've heard it only really effects woman who have given birth or women who are aging. I've never had kids and I'm super young. Dies this sound like I need to worry?

I meant to say *pee* in the first sentence. Not owe. I hate autocorrect.

    • So I have a weak pelvic floor, it doesn't mean my vagina is bigger than average?

    • No it has no relation with size of vagina

    • Thanks girl

  • Actually, that does not sound right to me. Next time you see your doctor, ask about it.

    • Could this mean I have a loose vagina?

    • No. The urethra is completely separate. They open near each other, but are not connected. If the doctor tells you there is a problem, it could be as simple as needing to do some exercises in that part of your body. Many women have this problem. Sometimes a bit of leakage, sometimes sneezing releases it, and sometimes it is like you described. It can be embarrassing, but not threatening, Like I said, tell your doctor on your next trip there.

    • Ok so it doesn't mean the muscles in my vagina are bad then? I thought that the pelvic floor controlled everything down there, so wouldn't it be that if my pelvic floor was weak, I'd have weak muscles everywhere down there? I'm so confused. I'm 17, I shouldn't even have to worry about this, but I guess I was just born with a bad lower body..
