Why do so many people act like periods aren't gross just because they're "natural"?

Mainly women who do this. Act like periods aren't gross at all and say "it's natural" and call men immature if they think it's nasty. Some of them even say periods are "beautiful" or "empowering". And it's not "just blood" . It's blood that smells and has uterus lining and blood clots in it and sometimes comes out in clumps.
I know periods are natural and women can't control them but that doesn't mean they're not gross. Vomit, poop, snot and all that are natural too but still gross. It's like some women get mad or offended when a guy says he thinks periods are gross.

Think of them as snotor saliva, its natural but still is pretty unsanitary
It’s fine to think of menstruation as a gross process, believe me I know. Blood is a biohazard, first and foremost when it’s outside the body so it’s already on a health risk level. However the problem I have had with men (and some women) is that they not only think a period is gross, but that a person on their period is also disgusting and shouldn’t be touched in any way by a partner (even cuddling) and that asking for clean pads and tampons are a taboo and stuff like that. Periods ARE gross, it’s our uteruses hitting the refresh button and dumping what didn’t get used and it’s an awful sensation when you’re bleeding. As long as it’s normalized it doesn’t matter wether it’s beautiful or beastly.

All body fluids and solid waste are considered biohazards. Not necessarily because there is anything wrong with them, but because there could be. Blood, vomit, semen, etc. can all carry diseases that the person "depositing" them has. So all are treated as if they are contaminated so they are safely handled. But for a couple having sex and sharing body fluids, blood dies not present a deeper health risk. Medical personnel glove up to handle any wound or blook, but I was never in any danger of biohazards when cleaning and dressing a wound on my wife.

There is a lot of things that are natural that is gross af. Even having sex is kind of gross when you do it right, but that is something i can live with :p periods however is gross and i tend to just stay out of the way when it happends. Shout out to you girls that have to deal with that!

Because we have them every month, we aren't gonna gag every time we pull down our pants at that time of the month for the rest of our life. So while not all of us think it's some like beautiful amazing thing, most of us don't think it's that gross. It's just normal for us. I think it's just annoying when guys talk about how gross it is because who cares what their opinion on periods is? You aren't female, you don't have them. I don't think it should be like embraced as like something we should just talk about how great it is, but I think any mature adult should be able to accept it in way that isn't "ewwww yucky". Humans is general are gross. Pee is gross, semen is gross, poop is gross, etc. but it's normal.

I think it isn't gross but not necessarily because it's natural but rather because it's just blood. Sometimes there's also dead skin that comes out with it but the period is just human blood. That's it..

I dont really find snot, vomit or poop disgusting. What would be disgusting if you didn't have periods and your uterus would just explode. A little bit of disgust once a month, or A MOTHERFUCKER LOAD?
