I discovered that my boyfriend had texted an escort. He claims he never planned to hook up. Truth/ BS?

A few months ago I caught my boyfriend with a text to an escort, inquiring about how many girls worked that particular number, and even went as far to say that he was aware of Summer and Monica, (their names) The girl replied saying two escorts worked that number, and there were no further texts exchanged between them. When I confronted him about it, he desperately tried to convince me that he NEVER intended on sleeping with one of them, because if he had, the texts would have shown evidence of this. That he simply had been browsing the Craigslist ads at work, as a replacement for p*rn, because p*rn wasn't accessible on his phone. I have no evidence that my boyfriend actually cheated on me, and I am wondering if, from a males perspective, its possible that his story could really pan out. It really hurts me to think that this could have been an idea that he was entertaining, and I'm trying my best to forgive him, but its really affected my trust and confidence. Please help!

i no you want a mans point of view but I had to say something . I had seen on my boyfriends phone he got a text from ( live links ) saying that his account had been upgraded . ( live links is a site where you meet singles and talk on the phone) I new they just didn't get his phone number that he must of had an account with them trying to meet girls but then again he never cheated on me before and I had no reason other then this to think that he had he told me he don't no how they got his number . but then just 3 nights after this strange text he gets a nother text at 1am from a girl and I grab the phone and called the number back and she told me she met him from a chat line and they had sex 3 times . he was so busted and are relationship was over and I was left crying my eyes out. .

not saying your man cheated and I hope he didn't but go with your feelings cause what you feel is probably right . it sounds to me he new what he was doing and at least wanted to do something don't no if he did or not but he sure was looking into it . if he was looking on craigslist it wasn't for p*rn it was for escorts that's where many of them place there adds . I would really try and see if he does anything more like this and if so you no for sure what he is up to . you have a right to know who he is or my not be trying to sleep with . I even checked my mans email I no I shouldn't have but I found out that he was also talking to his ex and telling her he loved her . if I didn't check that message I wouldn't have new it and would have wasted more time of my life with a jerk .

Thats right . I don't no if you go on craigslist but its not really to find p*rn its more of personal adds for sex and other things that's why I think he new what he was doing .

Usually there is only one reason to contact an escort---to set up an appointment with her. If he already knows her it's because he's already had a 'session' with her. All escorts/call girls will only respond to first time contacts if they have already screened the possible client. All established escorts/call girls only have one contact number they do not share with another girl. If more than one girl could be contacted at a single number, then it was an agency. A madam was screening calls for the girls.

A madam would not normally respond to a text message because that is not the acceptable form of initial contact. They are 'call' girls thus the madam expects a phone call from an un-blocked traceable phone number. That girl who responded to the text message was a madam. If she responded to the text message, it was either a very rare 'lightning strike' occurrence or she knew your boyfriend as returning/regular/trusted client. In my opinion, it was a serious contact, you caught him and he was squirming his way out of trouble with you.
