Ladies, what are your thoughts about a circumcised vs. uncut penis?

Just a FYI I'm circumcised and I've recently reevaluated my thoughts on the procedure.

I used to believe that circumcision was necessary for better hygiene and supposed protection against STDs. There are also many spiritual implications of it. But now I've heard more evidence that those theories are mostly hearsay. For one the penis is either clean or it's not, cutting skin doesn't change that. Taking a shower does. Also the HIV study was conducted on a small group of Africans for the span of two years. The men who were cut COULD NOT HAVE SEX for weeks to months after the procedure because they needed time to heal. So they obviously weren't being infected with HIV... because they couldn't have sex! So of course the circumcised guys would be less likely to be infected with HIV. Also I've heard arguments that being cut wasn't necessarily a Christian mandate (although it is a Jewish one?). Another big issue is that baby boys DO NOT GET TO DECIDE if they want to be cut or not. This is a become a major men's rights issue which I used to believe was petty, but now I'm starting to agree with them.

So I'll get to the biggest question of all about circumcision:

Ladies - is a cut guy a turn on or off for you? I believe it's less of a big deal nowadays because fewer and fewer guys are being cut. But I can imagine some guys being self-conscious about how a woman would react if she saw he wasn't circumcised. What are your thoughts? This video explains that uncut penises actually have benefits for the female sexual side of things too.

  • I was circumcised at the age of 18. Personal reasons. I remember life before circumcision. I distinctly remember having pull on the skin to wash out all sorts of things getting in there. Lint from the underware, dried up cum or whatever that liquid is that comes out when you get horny. Pulling on the skin also triggered an erection and other logical consequences that a typical teenager has when he gets an erection.
I always felt very unclean if I didn't take a shower every day.
After circumcision, all that stuff was gone. I feel clean even when I can't take a shower. On the other hand, masturbation became much more difficult and less enjoyable compared to uncircumcised. Thank goodness I discovered girls!

    • interesting. You are one of the few guys that got to see both sides to this. Too bad you didn't get laid before you were 18. Yeah you got to masturbate (like 99.9% of guys do). But having sex uncut and later trying it cut would be a true test of comparison.

    • For what it's worth, there is no difference in feeling or climaxing. In the end, what you have is just fine. What's I find offensive is comparing circumcision to FGM where female organ primarily responsible for pleasure is removed. It's like chopping of your penis head! If circumcision has anything similar in females, it's removal of large labia minora which is all the rage in plastic surgery today. It's like second most popular surgery for women after implants.

  • My girlfriend actually prefers uncut - which I am. (My dad was a doctor and he saw no reason that any of his three sons should be cut. Our religion, strictly speaking, did not require it and there was no real health reason.)

Originally it did not matter to her, but although she had seen photos, she had never seen an uncut guy "up close and personal." The first time she saw me naked she said, "That is SOOO hot!!!"

If you don't think that every guy wants to hear a woman say that about his penis... Worked for me. That's all I can say.

  • I voted A.
I'm pretty much against circumcision but I don't think I would be turned off by it. I wouldn't blame a man for being cut when he was a baby.
Where I live, it's not really common. I know it's not on jews baby but that's about it.
I think it's unecessary to cut a little baby who didn't ask for anything. It's useless and well... you pretty much gave all the reason.

    • I live in the USA where it used to be near universal but now fewer and fewer parents are doing it. There is no way for me to ever get my foreskin back (but a friend of mine did invent something). I'm also believe it's a violation of men's rights to cut a baby boy when it's impossible for him to give consent. THAT is an issue I'm starting to fight for.

    • It's exactly what I think. If I ever get a son, I can't even imagine doing something like this to him. I don't even see what the big issue is with foreskin. It's how the penis is supposed to be like.

  • I have only been involved with one man that was NOT circumcised but there was no difference although I could see that cleanliness could be a problem if no paid attention to. I dont think cutting the foreskin off has the nerves in it-I think his nerves and most feeling is the actual head-so maybe he feels more?

  • I dont care about either as long as the uncircumcised guy is good about being clean

  • Well it is harder to keep clean... but Man1 Man Oil is awesome for hygiene down there. Just rub it into the penis skin once a day and you will be all set. This is particularly helpful to uncut guys. Check it out.

  • I'm circumcised but my sons are not. It didn't even come up for discussion between their mother and me. If for some strange reason they want to get cut when they're adults, they can decide to do it. I'm not going to have them subjected to it as long as it's up to me.

  • I was circumcised at birth as well, and find the tradition problematic for many of the same reasons as you. I believe that anything that alters a person's sexual function or removes healthy eroginous tissue should be saved for when that person can make an informed decision and legally consent to the procedure.

  • some girls told me the foreskin moving around inside during sex makes it feel really good

  • I never felt my foreskin before. How do i grow it back *cries*

    • There's no way even though some doctors say you can regrow it. It'll never be the same because there's never endings and glands that produce lubrication in the foreskin.

    • @Vin92 the lubrication actually does come back, as all the skin between the scar line and the glans is still inner foreskin that produces the lubricant. When constantly exposed it just drys out before it can accumulate.

  • My father, brother and I are/were uncut.
    So is my son.
I wouldn't be angry If I'd been circumcised at birth.

  • Dont really care that much to be honest a penis is a penis

  • I'm in some Facebook groups where this discussion comes up regularly. It seems more and more people, especially women, are in favour of not circumcising their children.

  • Circumcision is genital mutilation and child abuse.

  • All the nerves are in his skin why would you cut it off

    • Mostly for religious reasons or aesthetics and cleanliness. Thing is, if you clean it everyday, which is easy to do as you shower, then why cut it off. Most of the nerve endings are in the foreskin like you said, and on top of that the same glands that make a vagina wet are in there too. So you're talking away a males ability to create lubrication.

    • Nope. not in that skin flap. Why do you think it retracts when men get erect. putting it in pulls the skin even further back.

  • I am uncut but it seems most of the girls I've met prefer cut

    • you got more nerve endings than cut guys. It's very possible that you might have had a heightened pleasure that is now impossible for cut guys (including myself) to ever experience.

  • I wouldn't mind what my guy had. I've heard that the men feel more pleasure by being uncut too.

    • You got a down vote? Guy must really be jealous of uncut guys, it's true we feel much more.
