On me I hate it! Prefer bare and as soft and smooth as possible. I started removing it nearly as soon as it began growing in, started waxing freshman year when I was on H. S. Swimming team. Now I use sugaring to yank it out by the roots! It's a little painful to mildly uncomfortable most of the time. Seriously thinking about electrolysis for a more permanent removal.
As for my guy, I prefer him trimmed up neat, which for the most part what he prefers.
