Why does my penis not look as big?

Okay guys bare with me this is gonna be a bit long

So back when i was 14 i measured my penis and it came out to 5.5 inches long and 5 inches in girth and i always assumed it was average and it never looked big on my body and it never seemed to grow after that so at some point in time i would feel like i was not big enough and i would feel in adequate up until recently but whatever.

fast forward to a few days ago now 19 year old and i thought my penis stopped growing at 14. i hooked up with a girl, and she kept saying how my dick was so big and didn't know if it was gonna fit. In my mind she was just trying to be nice which ticked me off a bit. when i was putting the condom on it got stuck on my head (like it always did, i thought condoms were suppose to fit like this) and i had to pull it apart at the bottom so i could roll it down. She then tells me that the condom is on to tight and i need to buy a bigger size in my mind i was like wtf?

then the next day curiosity got to me so i decided to measure it and it came out at a bit over 8 inches and 5.8 inches in girth i was shocked cause it didn't look like that i plugged those stats into a condom calculator and turns out i need to be buying magnum XL condoms. so i went out and got some and sure enough they weren't tight, cutting of blood like other condoms putting pressure on my head they were snug almost perfect in a way.

Finally my question why does my penis not look so big? could it be cause i am so tall i am 6,2 tall and my hands are pretty big so it doesn't look that big in my hands but now after this new information looking back every time a girl held it, it looked massive could it be my physical size that almost dwarfs my penis size?

I understand, although not quite as large. Sometimes a tight fitting condom is better, like wearing a cock ring. I like it as it's not an elastic strong enough to do any damage over time. Hence, i prefer it tighter.
Obviously, when comparing big hand to little hand, the proportions in perspective are going to vary.
So yes, a 16 oz glass in a giants hand looks like a shot glass.
