Why do women act like men wouldn't be able to handle the pain of childbirth?

And they say they have a higher pain tolerance than men just because they can give birth?

  • I didn't have an epidural when I gave birth and it hurt worse than anything I've ever experienced. I was fully dilated and pushing from 6:03 am until 12:26 pm Non stop. I was in that pain for that long. I felt like I was going crazy. I passed out from exhaustion between contractions after 4 hrs of pushing. It feels like your back is breaking, your hips are collapsing, your insides are being ripped out. I was throwing up from the pain for the first hr.
I voted "Men would handle childbirth just like women do"
During those hours I didn't know how I was living through it. By the 4 hr mark of pushing I was begging to be knocked out. I asked for a C-section. My husband was upset and trying to find out if I'm supposed to be pushing for all those hrs.
Any adult could give birth. Some people it hurts worse for others and births always go down differently but If your pregnant it's going to come out. You don't have a choice. Women aren't stronger for it. Men would cry like they were dying or lay there and let the baby just slip on out. (My best friend said thats the way she remembers the birth of her son. Pressure and then he was out. lucky her.) They would take it just like a woman.

  • The reason men don't give birth is because they don't have a uterus or eggs or anything that would make it possible for them to conceive and carry a fetus to full term and then shove it out of a birth canal that they also don't have.

    • The question isn't about whether or not a man is capable of giving birth

    • Precisely

  • Having watched my girlfriend go through labor three times - our first she was in labor for 27 hours - I make no bones about it. Couldn't do it, wouldn't want to do it. If ever the word "heroism" meant something - it is the heroism of a woman giving birth.

Oh, by the way, a scientific point. Researchers have determined that men actually ARE more sensitive to pain for evolutionary reasons.

It may seem counterituitive, but our male ancestors had to fight off rival males and predators to win a mate and protect their offspring. Consequently, they were more likely to be injured. If they were less sensitive to pain, they might not notice an injury and it would therefore likely become more severe if not fatal.

In effect, a man's higher pain sensitivity is an evolutionary defense mechanism. In essence, you don't want a male who is too dense to realize that he has been injured.

    • Men like you still exist. Thank God😩

  • there's no point even arguing whether or not men could do it better etc. God designed the woman for this for a reason, and besides its far deeper than just pain tolerance, carrying and birthing a child also require a certain level of patience and compassion for and with the being growing inside you. I am 100% positive women were selected for this sacred thing for a reason. Men have their qualities and roles to fulfil and us women have ours. Why does everything have to turn into a competition these days?

  • I know very strong people who wanted to commit suicide when they were giving birth.

  • Oh wow... I’m holding back here.. but try and have a 6-12lb baby out of a whole that is usually no bigger than a finger... being stretched to maximum, cut or torn, feeling like someone is kicking you every time you have a contraction. And my been able to stop it till the baby is born.

Have a watch of the men hat have actually worn electronic pieces to show them how birth feels, maybe consider trying it...

    • Im so traumatized ryt now lol

    • I was about to say the same thing, but you beat me to it

    • Girls don’t worry too much.. our bodies are equipped to deal with this x

  • Several studies have shown that men actually have a higher pain threshhold than women.

    • Lol at the dislikes. The studies are out there, check for yourselves. I didn't carry out the studies. Don't blame me.

    • Don't worry Bot, they're just triggered idiots.

  • Such bullshit. Women can handle giving birth because of modern medicine- the epidural. So yea we can't feel shit.
Those that choose to have a natural birth without medicine are crazy.

  • Women do have a higher pain tolerance?

  • I thought it was really sweet that at the end of it, they thanked their mums. So sweet.

  • well, men do have a lower pain tolerence, It's just a thing
men not being able to handle childbirth? I'm sure plenty can and really it doesn't matter because men do not (generally) have to give birth anyway

  • guys who have given a birth exist

  • Who cares? Men can’t give birth. I feel like women are making a big deal out of this to boost their own egos.

  • I think the idea is that even cold's for men seem to be worse. Like they get "man colds" so they seem to not be able to take discomfort as well. I don't really think anyone can stand the pain of childbirth we just do it anyway. I also don't think it is a sex dependent thing but rather a pain tolerance thing based off the person rather than the entire sex.

    • Mens immune systems work differently. When men get a cold their body throws everything it has so the symptoms are more severe but the cold doesn't last long. Women take longer to get over a cold as their body isn't as aggresive against the cold.

  • I'm bisexual

  • Can't compare the two.

  • Men would handle childbirth just like women do.

  • I think men would handle childbirth better than women would because they're actually the ones with higher pain tolerances.

  • I give birth to a baby every Tuesday after tacos so I say we're equal.

  • I dnt have kids n im scared n i have a high pain tolerance n most men not all most, can't handle pain that well lol

  • Men wouldn't be able to handle childbirth.

  • To be honest I don't really care if they can or can't. They don't have to, so.

  • One way to find out... Hook’em up to a child birth simulator for 8-12hrs and see if they can handle it. After that, imagine pushing out a baby in addition to it. Would they really be able to handle it?
