  • By any scientific definition it is life
It is also human because it has human dna
Lastly it is not the mothers dna or the fathers, it is unique dna that has in all likelihood never been seen before on earth.

Yes it is human life in a scientific sense.

    • Exactly

  • No it doesn’t.

    • Yes it does. Things that grows, has life. If it needs growth to make it to get a heartbeat, then it's growing. Thus, life. Things without life can't grow.

    • Thank you 😊

  • No. The process to create human life begins at conception, but it takes a while for anything even remotely recognisable as human to eventuate, and to be able to think.

  • I said B, but because I think you're missing the point.
Yes, the fetus is most certainly human, I hope that nobody would be confused about that. It's not, for example, an alien baby. The question is whether or not we should grant that fetus the rights associated with personhood. Person and human are different things.

That said, I don't think it's even an issue of personhood, the debate is whether or not a woman has the right to self autonomy. I think she does, no one has the right to use her body without her permission. This is a right that we even grant to corpses in my society.

  • It’s not hard to argue that it technically does, but I absolutely believe that it should not legally be considered a human being until it actually develops a consciousness. Not when it’s a little bean or just because it’s heart starts working.

  • If you can't figure out if you want to have a child after the first week or two of conception, then you should probably start a family at another point in your life. Better yet, use protection.

  • For me
It does. I’m not even conservative I not even believe there’s a god but life starts at the earliest stage. Abortion shouldn’t be taken as BC

    • Abortion is too complicated, expensive & invasive: I don't think it's really used to replace BC

    • In many cases it is

    • That would suppose some have an abortion every month or every other month. Be realist, please.

  • I don’t think so.

A corpse has living human cells. It takes more then that to be alive.

It’s fairly obviously earlier than birth though. Mid to late second trimester is when we see emergence of what it means to be a living human being, not just living human cells.

  • The process to form a human life begins at conception but actual life, actually existing? No. Plants, trees, bugs these things are all alive, so what? There are still living cells in a recently deceased person. This has no merit on if that life is valuable.

What makes us human is the ability to think, to perceive, to be cognitive and independent and autonomous. Until the child can survive without the need of the mothers body then it isn't truly an autonomous being. It's like a limb at that point, an extremity or an extension of who she is until it's developed itself as it's own being.

    • @CT_CD HEY, HEY how many million kids you killed today?

    • None

  • In fact, life is an unending chain extending unbroken back in time for billions of years. Interrupt any part, and it stops, but goes on in other branches. That's the beauty of it. Human life doesn't "begin" anywhere; it only ends, at death.

  • Yes.
Real date of birth is never known.
Because your real date of birth is when your father's sperm met your mother's egg in the womb.

  • Human life begins at 26th day when the heart starts to beat.

    • Nah. If it grows, it's life. Things without life won't grow into the stages needed to form a heart.

    • @Clap-FLUTES-YesYes there are many factors that a thing with life consists. Growth is a factor, but its not all. A mountain also grows, but it Doesn't have a life.

    • Mountains don't grow. That's the bottoms of the rocks pushing upwards from the ground.

  • I believe it with all my heart!!!

  • It begins 40 days after egg and sperm meet to make a baby.

  • It must that is when it starts growing !!!

  • Being asexual has nothing to do with having an opinion about human life

    • It has everything to do with it

    • How so?

    • I agree. How so? It makes no sense to me.

  • Ehh... who cares abort it if thats the best way to go..

  • Clearly abortion is murder. I just don't care. Each female needs to decide for themselves. I support their right to choose but I won't lie about what it is.

  • Yes it does same way a plant life's begins when it gets planted and water gets poured on it
Life starts from the smallest of things just because it hasn't come to be alive doesn't mean its not alive
If its not alive then it wouldn't develop

  • I guess yeah

  • I'm atheist... So! I believe that life begins when some kind of cognitive 'being' is formed aka when the brain starts building neural pathways.

    • Freaking trees are alive lol and last I checked they are far from cognitive

    • It specifically says "human" life.

    • Yeah. Life. That is human. Human life.
