I got mine on Valentines day this year after I had my daughter mid December and got my period last Monday and still on it now. My mood swings have been an outrageous tunnel vision rage but if it stops my period sometime soon, I can put up with a couple months of bleeding. I had the depo shot before and was on my period for nine months straight and there wasn't any way to stop that contraceptive the way I can with the implant. I was told to give nexplanon at least six months to work properly.

About 1% of users have this problem. My sister and sister in law both have/had it. My sister in law got it right after birth of my niece #2, she bled for 12 weeks straight and had it removed. Was told she fit into the 1% of women who have this problem. My sister though has had it for 1.25 years and bleeds about twice a year.
Me, I've had it for 2 months and am ending my 8 day streak of bleeding. So, well see.0 0 0 0

(15)It's just your body adjusting to the raised hormone levels, the doctor may prescribe you a pill that'll stop the bleeding and you should be A-okay after that! <3
1 0 0 0I haven't experienced this while on the implant. Good luck.
0 0 0 0I’ve been using the implant for almost 10 years. What you’re describing is completely normal. I went through it too. It’s just your body adjusting to the contraceptive xx
0 0 0 0It reacts differently for different people. This is clearly how it reacts with you so i suggest getting it removed and trying a different BC.
The implanon completely stopped my periods, other than one here n there that lasts only a couple days.0 0 0 0This is why I’m on the copper IUD 😂
0 0 0 0No and if you do you need to see your doctor

0 0 0 0i had mine 1st November, 12th November bled until around 15th December and haven’t bled since and mine is also my first implant so it’s more than likely just your body adjusting etc x
