Whenever I am on my period, I feel very horny. Is it just me, or does this happen to other people too? Any suggestions on how to relieve yourself since the usual ways are out of the question.

I usually do. Where most girls logically would be more easily turned on when they ovulate, versus during their actual period, I'm on an estrogen/progesterone pill for birth control. I also have PCOS, so I have naturally lower estrogen levels than most women and don't ovulate regularly or have regular periods. I'd likely have a harder time conceiving than a woman without PCOS, due to my irregular cycles. The pill evens things out, with the added bonus of -further- preventing pregnancy. SO when I'm taking the spacer pills and have my 'period' to dispose of my non-existent egg, I'm no longer getting that extra estrogen from my active pills. Which means a slight increase in testosterone, and therefore a higher sex drive. Medically it makes perfect sense, haha.

I suggest that you masturbate in the shower or bath during this time, or stick exclusively to external play [with a tampon in] outside of the shower.

Being horny before your period is different from being horny during it because you ovulate before your period and that's the time when you're "supposed" to be horniest. Just to clarify about the answer from Lucky. But some women are horny during their period. Personally I'm usually not because I feel too crummy at that time.
