Booty call calls when on period? and will a booty call ever be more?

I've been having sex with the same boy for almost a year just no strings attached booty calls I know I'm for the most part have been while at college the only girl he's been having sex with I get calls almost every weekend or ill call him too sometimes even now he sleeps over almost every weekend I'm having fun but I think I'm starting to get more attached than id like...will it ever be more? and also what do I do when I'm on my period and he calls...do I lie and avoid him altogether or have him come over and just do other things, or just be straight and tell him when he calls I have it>

Maybe I can help because I've been in a similar situation. I've had a friends with benefits situation with this guy since january. we'd meet up once or twice a week and even hang out during the day and I'd spend the night at his place a lot. after a while I started getting attached and started to like him but I never told him. sometimes I thought he might like me too but I was too chicken to say anything. about 2 months ago he stopped texting and calling me completely. I was really confused and texted him a few times since then and he'd reply but we still haven't hung out and I just stopped texting him because I didn't want to seem clingy. I think maybe he realized I liked him and got freaked out or something.

Now to answer your questions. When you start off as friends with benefits with someone it often doesn't develop into a relationship. One person always starts to get attached and usually ends up getting hurt. With friends with benefits, it's usually implied that there are no strings attached. You guys aren't mutually exclusive so there's always a chance that he's talking to other girls and hooking up with other girls. If you guys have been hooking up for a year and he still hasn't told you he likes you or tried to take it to the next level then there's a good chance he doesn't like you as more than friend. If he secretly does like you but is too shy to say anything then that's great for you but don't get your hopes up because I've known many girls with a friends with benefits situation and it never goes anywhere. Girls just get attached more easily :( As for the period question, it depends. If you guys strictly just call each other for sex then I don't see any problem with telling him something like, "Yea we can meet up but I'm on my period" if you say something like that he should tell you what he wants. Either he'll still want to meet up and do other stuff or if he just wants sex he'll let you know and tell you never mind let's just do it another time. To answer this briefly-

period sex is actually good for you, so maybe you should run it by your guy, try having sex in the shower if you're worried about it.

secondly, probably not. why would he date you when he is getting everything he wants with no strings attached... if it's been going on for a year things aren't about to change.
