My boyfriend gave me chlamydia?

I just found out my boyfriend of 3 months gave me chlamydia. He hasn’t cheated, it’s from girls he was with before me. Would this be a deal breaker for any of you?

Chlamydia is a tricky one as it doesn't always show symptoms when a person has it, so it doesn't mean they are cheating. You both need to be on antibiotics at the same time, and follow doctor's directions. I don't know if the doctor will say you cannot have sex while on antibiotics, but listen to the doctor closely.

It only takes one treatment to get rid of this. Don't panic, this is really minor. Different treatments range from 1 long-acting pill, to taking pills for 7-10 days. Very simple, very easy, don't be embarrassed at the doctor, they just want to help you.

Knowing how chlamydia works, this would not be a deal breaker. Education, not ignorance, is important for these things.

As long as you both get treated and retested then it's not a deal breaker, things happen out of our control and sometimes we're just unlucky.
