Volume of semen?

How much of semen can you have in your body? Please don't say it depends on the guy... Like for a regular guy who is healthy and is in a good position, what is the maximum capacity of semen it can hold? Also where is it held? I know its not the balls.

  • Semen – cum - is the fluid produced by male to carry sperm to the female ovum for fertilization. It contains components to provide nutrients to the sperm, keep them viable in the female reproductive tract and dilute the sperm to facilitate transfer to the female. The volume of semen produced varies among individuals and among species, and can be influenced by several other factors. In humans, the volume of sperms is only 2 to 5 percent of total volume of semen. The rest of the volume is made up of fluids secreted by the epididymus, prostate gland and seminal vesicles. The epididymus contributes a small volume of fluid containing potassium and sodium and some nutrients for the sperm. The prostate gland contributes about 30 percent of the seminal fluid, with secretions including citric acid, minerals and enzymes. The seminal vesicles contribute about 60 percent of the seminal fluid, with secretions including sugar, amino acids, citric acid and prostaglandin hormones. The bulbourethral gland secretes a small amount of mucus for lubrication. The average volume of semen produced at one time varies widely among individuals. The average human male produces a volume between 2 and 5 milliliters. Semen volumes that are regularly higher than 5.5 milliliters are known as hyperspermia. Since semen is primarily made up of fluid secretions, the possible supply is inexhaustible. At the individual level, semen volume generally increases from young to mature males in livestock species. To some extent, semen volume is heritable, or encoded by genetics. Genetic defects also influence semen volume. The male reproductive system includes the testes, urethra, vas deferens, prostate gland, seminal vesicle, and penis. The testes contain coiled structures called seminiferous tubules, which are the sites of sperm production. They produce over 12 billion sperm per month. The epididymis lies on top of the seminiferous tubules. Immature sperm migrate from the seminiferous tubules to the epididymis to mature and be stored.

    • Wow are you a doctor

    • @weaverman I have worked in multi-specialty hospital for about two years, mainly for sex related problems of younger generation and - also old ones.

    • I had a feeling you were medically trained, well done

  • Sperm is kept in a man's testicles. During sexual stimulation/activity, the body's various parts secretes a liquid, along with the sperm. Together all the liquids and sperm makes up the semen. So semen is not really kept ready to go in their bodies. Look up semen in wikipedia and it will fill you in better.

    • *feel you up better. #sorry

    • @errez - fill is correct. :) as in provide more info/update you/etc.

    • I know, it was a joke. :)

  • I can ejaculate 3ml to 5ml , our semen stored at our abdomen sac called seminal vesicle , you can see our seminal vesicle by side of our lower abdomen by squeezing the balls or hit in the balls, when I squeezed my balls so hard i feel the pain in abdomen where the seminal vesicle exactly situated, if you squeeze any balls then you can see our abdomen & seminal vesicle becomes swallow like a potato & that is the seminal vesicle. If you kick my balls then it's hurts my seminal vesicle not my balls.
So my balls is strong & I can handle a lot of kicking & squeezing, that's why I just experiment on it, I saw my seminal vesicle clearly when I let my balls to my sister to standing over it on the floor. She just stand on only one balls each time, & I show her my abdomen & my seminal vesicle. She 👧 gather a lot of knowledge about balls & male reproductive system by squeezing & pulling my balls. I didn't feel so much pain & that's why my balls is very comfortable to knowing about it.
If I ejaculate normally then volume of semen is 3ml or 4 ml, but if you squeeze or kick my balls or standing over my balls then my semen volume increase, it's becomes 5 to 6 ml each time, there was many times I ejaculate without stocking my penis, she just standing over it & it's create a lot of pressure on my balls & my seminal vesicle, the semen comes from my balls being pressure & it added to my vesicle semen then it's automatically comes out by full force lol. We enjoy it, & we enjoy to milking my balls, milking like she milking my balls as like cow milking haha, she pulling & squeezing my balls as hard as she can.
Is it helps you 👉 lol?

    • @Sangita93 am i correct?

    • Some man can ejaculate some higher volumes occasionally. There is always something higher and lower from average, for statistical consistency this difference should be as low as possible. for life activities - there is always a wide range.

    • @Sangita93 isn't it depends on stimulation on balls? What do you think about my case?

  • The thing about semen is that it's more of a combination of ingredients, rather than a single fluid.

Consequently, it is "stored" in multiple places, and then mixes just before ejaculation. So it's not really so much of a maximum amount, per se, as the end result, the semen that you're referring to, doesn't technically exist until ejaculation occurs.

As a way of answering as completely as possible, though, the various "ingredients" are stored in the prostate gland, ejaculatory ducts, seminal vesicles, and bulbourethral glands.

Due to that, only about 1/4 of semen comes from each location (roughly), so we can store a lot more than it seems. Rather than emptying a single recepticle, everytime we ejaculate, we're only using a little bit, from each location.

How quickly those can be emptied, though, does depend on the guy, and the total volume that he expels, during each ejaculation.

  • About 1 litre. It's kept next to the brain.

    • Please. Im being serious

    • I guess u are from outside earth!😂

  • It depends on the guy, whether you like that answer or not.

Genetics play a large role in how much ejaculate a man produces. Other factors include hydration, hormone levels, diet, time since last ejaculation, and how turned on/stimulated he is.

  • I was curious and I measured that once precisely. I read the average is 5ml and I waited 4days and measured 19ml exactly in a graduated cylinder. Most is stored in the seminal vesicle and some is stored in the prostate.

  • About a teaspoon. Less with age. Try having your partner cum in a glass and then measuring it.

  • It depends on the guy.

Said it anyway because biology doesn't give a shit what you want, it be what it do.

  • Lmao... something that is individual to each person... "please dont say it depends on the guy"

    Guess what...

And by the way, thats like saying 'How to make women orgasm?' and then expecting a single answer.

  • It is stored at the back of the testicles in a duct called an epididymis. You're gonna have to PM me to know the rest lol

  • it depends on the guy xD it depends also how often he usually cums and how long ago his last nut was.

but the average is the volume that fits in the tip of a condom. obviously it is held in the balls xD the prostate which is inside the body puts some fluid to it but the semen comes from the balls.

  • It is dependent on diet, physical & mental factors.
Stress will surely reduce the volume, proper diet will increase it. Too much exercise will use up too much testosterone, so chance of less volume there.
Its stored in epididymis (its part of ball).
    can't say maximum capacity.

    • One small mistake, semen isn't stored anywhere. Semen is a mix of mature seed (which containd in the upper part of the balls) and other ingredients that some glands in our body (like the prostate) secrets when the guy is orgasming.

    • I didn't knew tat

  • doesn't hold any you have to buy semen cartridges.

    • The total volume of the ejaculate averages between 2 and 5 millilitres (0.12 to 0.31 cubic inch) in the human; of this, only about 1 to 5 percent are actually sperm cells.

    • There since your to lazy to google

    • Plus everyone knows pee is stored in the balls. So at least you got that right.

  • There are a couple of good answers below, so I'll ask: what prompted you to ask this question?

  • It's kept in a Super Soaker backpack

    • Its a serious question

    • This is one of the most ridiculous questions I've ever read

  • A constant amount since unused semen breaks down back into the body.

  • you didn't learn this in school you can't look it up cause if I couod explain i would. and there can only be so much eventually your body need s to release it and either by accident or a nocturnal ejaculation

  • No idea don’t really care either

  • If a guy doesn't masturbate for a couple days and he gets really worked up.. a guy can unload a massive amount at once... well what's seems massive in comparison to a normal load of jerking off every day.

  • its 24 hour production.

  • Anything from 5cc to 20cc. Depends on when he last ejaculated.
