Do guys mean what they say in bed?

I am with my boyfriend for almost three years now. I know he loves me and all but what I have a bit of a trouble understanding what he says in bed during foreplay. He always tells me that I am the only one that makes him turned on. I know, it should be music to my ears, and of course it is when you are in bed. But sometimes I look back to it and logic kicks in. I know for a fact that men can easily get turned on by anything. I know that he also finds other women attractive because he has no problem saying so in front of me. I know it's perfectly normal to be attracted and be turned on by other people. I don't think it's an insecurity thing, and I don't think it's an outright lie either. I just wonder if guys mean what they say in bed (assuming you don't need to butter up your girl to get her into bed) or is it some kind of heat-of-the-moment thing?

  • Lying beside you here in the dark, feeling heart beat with mine...

Softly you whisper, your so sincere, how could our love be blind...

We sail on together, drifted apart, & here you are by my side...

So now I come to you, with open arms, nothing to hide, believe what I say.

So here I am, with open arms, hoping you'll see, what your love means to me, open arms.

Living wihtout you, living alone, this empty house seems so cold.

Wanting to hold you, wanting you near, how much I want you home.

Now that you've come back, tomorrow-today, I need you to stay...

So now I've come to you, with open arms, nothing to hide, believe what I say...

So here I am, with open arms, hoping you'll see, what your love means to me, open arms...

  • It could be ment to be romantic because they think that's what to hear but if we're being realistic then, like in your case, logic kicks in and says that may not really be true. A guy can be with and still be attracted to other girls physically but mentally they're with you so they will concentrate on you most. As long as you trust him and there's nothing to make you think he's saying it just to make up for something then just find what he's saying as a compliment and let him know your appreciative :]

  • No. Men will literally say anything during sex- their inhibitions drop. It's kind of like being drunk. It's not even really their fault. It's a purely chemical reaction in their brains.

That's why they tell women to ask men for big presents right after they ejaculate. That's when they're the most receptive to everything :/

  • It certainly could be a heat of the moment thing (many things said in bed often are lol), but in this case what he is saying may be sincere even if he looks at other women. For me, I admire a woman's physical beauty as much as anyone (us guys are hard-wired that way), but I would be far more turned on by a woman who was beautiful AND who I had an emotional connection with.
