Why do guys ask girls if they're virgins?

This guy who was interested in me but didn't directly tell me he was asked me if I was a virgin? Why is that?

  • If that is one of the first questions a guy asks. It is not a good sign.

    Some guys look at virgins as a challenge, a trophy to be won.

    Others don't like them because the girl might be clingy and expect a relationship after they have sex.

    Both of these types I described, want sex - not a real relationship. If the first question out of a guys mouth is sex related, you can bet that will be the primary focase in any relationship you may have with him.

    I would sugest you look for a guy who is a bit more mature than this one and doent have his brain in his pants all the time.

  • They could just be curious. They may ask because they're a virgin and want to see if you are too. They also just may be nosy. Some guys don't want to be a girl's first so they make sure they aren't before they have sex with them.

  • Why not? It is a good conversation starter and what you say will tell him a lot about you. If you say yes, he will know not to waste time on you because doubtful you will be having sex with him. If you answer, he will know that you are not unnaturally shy and are able to discuss adult issues. If you say no. He will suspect that if he puts forth the right efforts with you, he will get what he wanted in the first place.

    • Well I am pretty much beyond the age of encountering virgins. I supose I might run into a nun that gave up her job, but it's no longer likely. However if I were still 19, and I were bold enough to ask that question, and she admitted she was a virgin, I would end the conversation politely and move on.     • To me, that's like asking, "What do you think of girls with brown hair?" The fact that a girl is a virgin tells me next-to-nothing about who they are, if I will get along with them, if we'll have things in common, if she is interesting and fun, etc. All it really means is that, at some point, she had vaginal sex with someone. Big deal.

  • If a girl's a virgin, the relationship is going to go on a different course than if she weren't. You have to be extra careful and supporting, and you have to basically teach her the realistics of sex.

    It doesn't automatically mean he only sees you as a walking vagina, as others have said.

    • It's a relief knowing that she's not some party skank, and it is very endearing knowing that the girl's a virgin and wanting me specifically to take it from her, but there is a headache of knowing that you may have to deal with pain or a lack of sexual knowledge. There's pluses and minuses either way.

    • I will ask how many partners they have had (not asking if they are a virgin or not). Personally I can handle her sexual experiences. As for a virgin, I just feel that it's not my place to be with her. I would let her know that I like her and perhaps our paths will cross in the future. Some guys will think that virgins are more attractive. I look at it the opposite. I'm above average in length and girth and you really don't want me to be the first man in.
