Like thejaded said, pre-ejaculate is relatively clear and produced in small amounts. From what I've read it tastes almost sweet. Actual semen is off-white in colour and more viscous than pre-ejaculate. There's also more of it (usually around a few teaspoons).
Some stimulation actual feels good after ejaculation so it's not as if you should stop right when it happens. Once he ejaculates keep going for a few more seconds afterwards.
If there's more than a few drops, you are not dealing with pre-cum. After he comes don't be too aggressive. The glans gets extremely sensitive, and excessive or aggressive stimulation can be very painful.
pre-ejaculation fluid is often times clear and it comes out gradually in minuet amounts. Ejaculation would be obvious, it's usually cloudy white and comes out in a larger quality... maybe a couple tbspoon fulls.
