The quote "Women give sex for love men give love for sex..." What do you think?

I know what this is supposed to mean, but really it makes no sense. You can not give love love is something that exists between two people you don't do* it or buy* it or sing* it you experience it through relating, you can't perform it.. Also I don't know any guys who would choose sex over love. So OK, A woman gives you sex, so how do you then muster up love where do you pull it out of & I know tons of guys have sex with girls without giving love.. & tons of women actually like sex. This quote basically says women don't really like sex & men don't really have actual care - what about men who love family or male friends- its not sex based s why would they need it from a woman to love her, unless that's all the relationship is? & You can't force love its not a decision.. So do men not fall in love till after sex, which means they need sex for emotion , therefore emotional sex . which contradicts men just needing sex & women just needing love.. Id like to hear your thoughts on the concept behind the quote , thanks: )

I think it was phrased horribly the whole 'give to get' sounds really shallow & pathetic & as well as totally trivializes love.. Basically certain affects are more powerful for different people & manifest in different ways..

  • The word LOVE has pretty much lost much of its meaning. People are using it like it is a comodity to be bought or sold. How often do we hear "Oh I love him or her so much and forever" and within a week they become a no good SOB!

The word love has replaced infatuation or desire for the most part.

To see True Love is a wonderful thing but so very rare in these times.

When it comes to sex love certainly is not required and I would guess much more sex is without actual love than with it. Sex will never be a deciding factor for falling in love with someone, that is desire or infatuation.

    • Couldn't agree more! :)

    • Agreed:)

  • Disagree. Both are foolish notions. Any sensible person knows a woman can't earn love by giving sex. And a man can't fake love for sex, it's wrong. Either way you're holding jaded expectations.

    • I agree, unless you meant you* as in me, but probably not since I already said I disagree with the quote.. :)

    • Right - you're as in, whoever believes such. Not you.

    • Down arrow her because she makes sense- OK, yea agree :-) ;-)

  • Oh hi "t..." I mean, "Anonymous User"!

I agree with you. This quote is just wrong. It might refer to a very low percentage of the human population, but just can't be generalized for everyone on this planet.

Also, I support your opinion that giving and getting souds too much like an economical transaction rather than an emotional and spiritual connection.

    • I agree with you.. agreeing with me =) heh I ran into you on the other one too :)

    • How many times did you rephrase this question and asked as individual questions? =)

    • lol hey... No see I asked t the other way , because people agree one way & disagree the other.. they are disagreeing because it sounds rediculous when you say t straight the other way, I notice guys will keep explaining it in terms of women getting attached but they are very reluctant to talk about what happens with guys except f***ing is purely physical.. so I was just curious to see how they respond when it was phrased differently- which is what you asked, but just twice lol

  • your quote is mistaken from "woman have sex to be in a relationship and men have a relationship to have sex"

basically we are all opposite, the only thing we connect with is love and that's what brings us together with the physical attraction

    • no it was a direct quote from a book about god & love& the bible...

    • ok

    • :-)

  • There may be some truth to that statement but you can't take it as a generality.

  • The quote" Women give sex for love men give love for sex..." What do you think? <<<<< WHAT YOU SAID

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.

    • Lazy? =)

  • We just want someone to pay attention to our penis. Simple.

  • Men are motivated to spread their seed and do what they need to do to have sex. So, the primary motivation is different between men and women.

    • yea not really what I'm talking about, I was thinking specifically of the idea of giving something to get something, men may ned to spread seed but they need love too. people without love don't have properly developed brains,
