Would an STD cause you to break up with someone?

My girlfriend cheated on me and I didn't know about it until we had to get antibiotics... It made me think of this.

Most STDs can be contracted other ways than sex. Any grade-school kid should know that.

That being said...

If the only plausible explanation is an affair then I'd move into the spare room first and try to figure out her "why". An affair doesn't happen in a vacuum.

I'd ask 2 questions:
1) What was I giving her once that I stopped giving her?
2) Did she try to tell me? (if not, why not?)

Number 1 is my fault.
Number 2 is hers.

Staying or leaving - even though we have a baby now - would depend on her answers.

But I wouldn't leave my son.

You might be able to sue her. I know women have successfully sued men who they claim gave them an STD or STI, even without proof. Courts almost always favor women though. It will be an uphill battle even if you have hard evidence that she cheated and have enough character witnesses on your behalf to testify that you didn't or wouldn't.
I'd definitely break up with her. I'd attempt to sue. If I failed, I'd probably go off the deep end.

It would depend on which STD. In some states you can go to jail for attempting murder IF you KNEW you had HIV and didn't tell your partner ahead of time. I would report her to the health department at least.
