Is it a compliment what a guy says he doesn't want to "corrupt" me?

Anonymous
I've liked this guy for 2 years even though he has slept with a lot of women and he can be a jerk at times. However, he is never a jerk with me and he does the kindest things for me at work, which he never does for anyone else, guy or girl. We're friends now and I attempted to take it a step further, but he says that he doesn't want to "corrupt" me. I'm a virgin by choice and a very nice Christian 21 year old.

We're still friends, but what do I do now? And what I can do for him to show that I respect what he says, but that I still very much care for him? I still want to be his friend and hopefully not annoy him (which is my biggest fear if I want to text him or something)
