My current and past girlfriends have preferred less hair. I'm not hairy to start with but they have liked my pubic hair well trimmed.

I can have chest and stomach hair or shave, I just switch it up sometimes.
I never waxed it before though.

  I think that's an old wives tail honestly. If hair really got thicker after you shaved it men would be shaving their heads like crazy trying to get their hair back. LOL You only have so many hairs and hair follicles. I've shaved my chest before and stomach and pubic area. Grows back pretty much the way it was. The only thing I noticed is if you shave around your waistband area it can get irritated and ingrown hairs from your underwear and pants rubbing on it. Do whatever you like. : )
