My boyfriend wants to wait for sex?!

I told him I want to. He says he's ready, but he wants me to think about it some more and wait because he wants me to be sure I'm making the right decision. He doesn't think I'm ready. ( I'm a virgin, he's not) but what the H#LL am I supposed to be waiting for? I'm horny, I trust him, I'm on birth control...what am I missing?

  • Not all girls are the same but a majority of the girls fall really hard or find it harder to get over someone that they lost their virginity to. You should be greatful that he's being considerate of the fact that you might regret it if things don't work out. Just doing it might be a good idea but it could scare him and lead him to believe that's all you want. I don't know him or what he's like so I can't speak for him. It'll happen, just give it time.

You should be greatful that he's being considerate of the fact that you might regret it if things don't work out she should be greatful that he's saying he doesn't want her to like him that much? lol that's more like she should be insulted, Anyways falling & getting hurt , its part of life , no one can protect anyone from that- what f he next guy dies...

  • I once had a guy tell me to wait, I didn't want to listen (it's really easy to change a guy's mind), and it turned out to be a bad idea. I should've listened to him as it turns out.

I don't mean to tell you not to do it.. I just mean to make you realize and appreciate the time he's giving you to get to know yourself. Your first time is not about him, after all, it's about you.

  • Just surprise him one day. Do something sexy cute... and yet romantic...just DO IT, take off your clothes in front of him. Get a little creative, just don't trick him in a bad way, or "force" him aha, don't be a bitch about it... and be confident but innocent in your actions.

tip: role play a virgin's honeymoon in hawaii. lol

  • i don't think he's unwilling to do it because he finds something missing in you... may be he really loves and cares about and doesnot want anything bad to happen(sex is very unpredictable, I must tell)... y don't you listen to him and do it when he thinks its the right time

  • He's a good guy. He wants to make sure you don't do something you might regret at all while your hormones are in overdrive.

    • but what is it that I'm supposedly missing? I basically think the sun shines out his ass. He's the best thing that has ever happened to me, he's an amazing human being...AND I want to sex him! what else is there?

  • Maybe he wants to make sure you won't turn into a crazy after. You know if things don't work out in the long run. How long have you been dating?

    • a month and a half.

    • that's long at all. You're young, just wait. Be a little bit more patient. I know girls in there mid 20's that wait longer then that. Get to know him better. It'll be more special. Like it should be.

  • As you're removing his clothes, tell him: "I don't understand what I'm waiting for, so we're going to have some sex in the meantime, okay?"

    • i second that. that would do it for me

  • I think he just isn't confident ..

    Hes a bit nervous ...

You just be sure and tell him that I'm totally ready :)..

    • I don't think, that he is not confident... He has got experiences (not virgin)... I think he just likes his girlfriend and want it for her perfect :)

    • But the girl is totally ready ... I just think he is nervous nothing else ... This happens with the ones you love too much you always tend to be nervous

  • Whoa lol 3 years from now, you're gonna wish you had a guy like that lol.

    • I appreciate what he's trying to do, I'm just confused as to what I'm missing! What else is there to this whole thing?

    • Age. It could be as simply as that, or it could be your personality. A lot of guys won't want to have sex with virgins because they're reaction to the first time having can range from a 100 different things.

  • just tell him you have really thought about it and you know what you want :)

  • he sounds like he really cares about you so he probaly doesn't want to make the relationship awkward afterwards

  • I second what all else was said, but ill add that he might be trying to lessen his own guilt about it. If you you went for it and then regretted it, he would be able to justify it in his mind as well it was your choice. which is still good because well it is your choice, so go for it if you want. He gave you time and you've decided. your not missing anything, he being stand up

  • I Think That If He Does He will lose A Certain Respect For You And I think it just needs Time.
