Your opinion on wide hips?

i know there are some guys that like wide hips...

does it matter if its fat or just wide bones? what's better?

and what if she doesn't have big boobs? would it look bad?

you know from the side, my body looks okay, but from the front I think my hips look just huge :S and it's more or less bones, you can actually see my hipbones...

I like girls and I love wide hips. Your hips are not wide though, you're pretty petite. I think you may have a technically curvy shape, but most people are going to imagine someone bigger when you say wide hips or curvy. I think of beyonce, kim kardashian, and christina hendricks when I think of bigger hips.

Your lucky though. I'm in the process of losing weight. The bigger I was, I thought oh it must be because I'm curvy underneath these chunks, ya know some beyonce action happening or something, lol but uh uh nope. I've been reading ,looking at my body, and my moms body. Turns out women with actual curvy shapes like pear shapes or hour glass shapes attract fat away from the mid section initially. They can definitely get fat, in terms of stomach pudge and obesity, but they attract fat to the lower body and breasts first. Fat around lower body is actually healthy for you and lessens risk of diabetes and heart disease I believe. Its abdominal fat that is the culprit for bad health and obesity. So curvier frames attract fat away from the mid section first then if it gets out of hand and excessive it will start piling up around tummy. Women who have more narrower hips are more likely to pile weight around the mid section first than curvy women. Apparently, like many fatties and gorditas, I've been under the delusion that I'm curvy. It's the opposite. My boobs get a little smaller as I lose weight ( :( ! ) and my hips are not wide. My mom is normal weight and even though she has big boobs and her hips look balanced out to them, her waist is not super defined, so its more of an up and down look than the significantly smaller waist that you curvy girls have. That's where I'm headed. Except I probably won't have boobs either. I'm only one cup larger than she is now and twice as big so logic tells me I'll be damn near flat chested when I lose all the weight I need to. I'm turning into a man basically. Oh joy...

I think you shouldn't be so self conscious. You have a good shape, own it and don't be worried. Guys like hips. And hips don't lie! :D

i didn't know that they did studies on this...but thinking about it, it's quite true. most of my friends who have not so wide hips, have a little fat around the stomach area. while I can ear a lot of stuff and IF (at all) I gain weight it's always around my butt, thighs or boobs. just like you said :O impressive :) thanks for your input! and don't be so self conscious either, different people like different things! :)

your hips don't look wide. you're actually really skinny too.

i prefer legit wide hips and meatier girls.

you need enough fat for your body. I do not like the look of bony hips. you need fat to soften that masculine bony appearance. well you don't need it, but that's what I like.

big boobs balance out hips but pear shapes are sexy. again, your body type is really skinny so I think saying you have wide hips is misleading. I know shape and fat are two different things but just saying

I think wide hips are hot, HIPS ARE SEXY I love the appearence of them, nothing wrong with them at all. If a guy doesn't like it than no problem, there are plenty of guys that do, I personally love curves, thick thighs are hot along with big hips actually the whole middle region in general of a women is hot.

Yeah definitely. The slimmer the woman, the more attractive she is when she has really wide hips e.g. J Lo and Rihanna. I don't think your hips are that wide...but you look good..

IMO you really don't have very wide hips, they look great. And lots of guys, like myself love hips.

if your hips are big chubby and round, guys dig that stuff and if you wanna charm them quicker get bigger thighs and touch them together and big a big jiggly butt

More light and fewer clothes would have garnered a better opinion, but you look just fine. Just keep your weight off because it will tend to land at hips, butt and thighs. Such as I can see it, your top looks fine as well. Like to see you in a string bikini at the beach. I promise to stare from behind sunglasses so you don't have to feel self conscious.
