Why do guys hate buying condoms?

Well I have no problem with it, but I have a pretty good guess as to why some guys would have a problem; buying condoms at a checkout counter is like telling one or several complete strangers that you're hoping to have sex tonight, self-concious type guys especially would get really anxious about those strangers making some snide commet like 'ahh so you feeling lucky tonight eh? eh?' or 'who's the girl' or something. Also some guys might think it would appear presumptious to you, like he is assuming you're going to have sex, so he doesn't want to jynx it. Just my thoughts on it! =)

I bet if you tell them you won't have sex with them if they don't buy the condoms...they will start buying the condoms. For the record, I always buy my condoms.

Trust me I tried... I let him know he had to buy them before I got back or nothing would happen; when I got back, he hadn't bought any, didn't get any, and got pissed at me for withholding sex. He bought them only once after that.

I think they should just suck it up and get over it - if they want sex they can take precautions. I mean, it's kind of like us buying tampons or something - everyone has to do it at some point, ya know?

No, it's not like that at all. Pretty sure there are no condoms that say "small" on them. For the most part, they are pretty much one size fits all. There's two reasons a guy might not want to pick up condoms: 1.) feeling lazy. 2.) he doesn't want people knowing he's about to have sex (it's not the person at the counter, it's the people he might see there that know him)..

Really? I don't have a problem buying condoms, it's actually my girlfriend that is opposed to buying them. Just tell the guy that you're not buying them, and to man up and buy them himself.
