Me and my boyfriend had this same problem last night, so we ended up driving up a really unused road, pulled over to the side and got it on. Only one car drove by XD
BUT if this is your first time, the car probably isn't the most romantic place... I'd rent a room, it's only like 40$ if you can find an hourly rate place, but that's pretty sketchy
Outdoors if you are in a climate where that is possible. One of the neatest spots I ever did it was late night on a golf course!
You could rent a room. Trashy, I know, but better than out in public.
Be creative, I once did it in a glow in the dark mini golf course behind a cardboard shark.
I have found that being creative and dangerous has made for some rather memorable experiences.
