Do "party girls" really ever change ?

I'm talking about the ones who party it up during their 19s/ early 20s, the ones that sleep around etc.

  • Ehh, this whole fact of life: no one changes bit is just way off base. People change. Choosing to have a good time in this manner when you're young isn't comparable to a substance addiction.. sorry.

Same question could be asked about guys.. guys eventually want to move on from that aspect of their life, and actually start acting like an adult, it just takes 'em longer.

Girls are the same way.. some of them want to party it up when they're younger, and when it starts feeling like they want to settle in for a life for themselves and put all the partying nonsense behind them.

Of course some people never change because they don't want to accept the fact that they're getting older and they should act more responsible.

People change. Everyone is capable of change, in whatever part of life it may be. The want to change has to come first, and then following through with actually changing.

    • Always gonna be that one douche that disagrees with pure logical reason. Lol.

  • As a college sophomore, I'd consider myself a "party goer." Which I feel is an accurate categorization of a girl who goes to parties, but doesn't sleep around. I'm in my early 20's (turned 20 yesterday!) and I don't plan on maintaining this lifestyle.

My freshman year I went to a LOT of parties/clubs, at least two a week. But this year I go to occasional parties, only went to one club, and mostly stay in to do homework.

People who don't know me and aren't partaking in the college party scene would consider me a party girl, just because I used to go to them so often; but that doesn't mean I'm going to turn 30 and leave my husband and kid for the club. That lifestyle's lifespan was short and fast.

My party days are almost over :P I go to a lot less parties now that my boyfriend lives 5 floors above me :)

  • I think it depends on the person. There are a wide array of girls who are drawn to that kind of scene at that age. Particularly in university. I myself was a quiet girl who studied around the clock in high school. I joined a sorority for a number of wholesome reasons but I've been exposed to parties in the process, and have had a great deal of fun to be honest. I know the conventional 'party girls' you're referring to however. I babysat for a dozen families and I had a pretty good idea which moms liked to have a good time. They may never lose certain traits, but they may change/curb their behavior as their circumstances change.

  • Here's a fact of life: Nobody changes. But you can suppress your habits... Example... An alcoholic can be sober for 20 years. Is he cured? Nope. Give him the green light and a Guiness, and you'll see that nothing has changed.

A party girl's sex drive is genetic and habitual. They will keep doing it until, well... either (A) Somebody stops them or (B) they crash face-first into the proverbial wall.

Most of the time, the latter occurs before the former. The lucky ones get what's called an "intervention" from family and friends. The rest find themselves the lone, old, trashy whore in the club... realizing the guy they are hitting on is half their age. Time will always run it's course for the trailblazing party girl, and the fun stops once her luck runs out.

  • when they get old and unattractive

    • LOL so true

  • everyone changes when they get older
