On the female anatomy?

So a friend and I have an ongoing heated debate over something, and he won't allow testimony of any women I know as he thinks they'd take my side to spite him. So question is, is it true that when properly stimulated and aroused, the lips of a womans vagina will flush with blood and "plump"? Thank you, and while men are welcome to voice their two cents about this, their testimony will likely not be allowed in this court. Damn, I was going to add a poll to make this easier, but I'm 101 experience points away from that.

  • Yes, it is absolutely true, BUT, like all things biological, there is a great variation in *how much* swelling will occur.

When men get aroused, blood flows to the groin and in most cases, the man gets an erection.

When women get aroused, blood flows to the groin, and in most cases, their pubic region swells and they begin to lubricate. Depending on their "normal" size and composition, the amount of swelling of the labia minora may be hard to see, where with other women, it is more obvious. But it is a well-documented response in medical journals and sex-related texts.

  • Well, I've heard this and seem to notice this so I would say yes. You would have to run good before and after tests and maybe use a thermal camera to see the blood rush. There has to be something that will convince him

  • First of all, the lips (labia) are not part of the vagina. The vagina is the inner canal. The term you're looking for is vulva.

Second, this is true medically, but don't go expecting some kind of dramatic effect like a man's erection. it's more like a kind of fullness than a balloon.

As some of the men said, every woman has a different labia. And we all respond differently.

Why do you guys care? And I'm sure you can track this information down at a library or on wikipedia….

    • You're right that I wasn't 100% anatomically correct, but everyone knew what I meant. And to be fair quite fair, if nott blunt, if you were in a situation where someone brushed up against your vulva, you wouldn't say, "Pardon me, I believe your hand just graced my vulva." Your response would probably be much quicker to the point if not absolutely accurate. And yes of course every woman is different, and the response is generally subtle, but that wasn't my question.

  • Search term: "female erectile network"

  • It depends on what you mean by properly stimulated.

There are devices and fetish videos which are explicitly geared towards swelling those parts with blood. (They use low air pressure to do it.)

    • We are not discussing possible aplications of any sort of pump
