What time of the month?

  • the two days before and after your period are your LEAST likely days. That is not to say that it is impossible, but the conditions inside the uterus aren't good for it. If you're going to participate in sex either get on the pill or use a condom. going bare back with no protection at all is wreckless and like playing chicken with 40,000 sperm. Eventually you will loose. If it's an issue with going to see a GYN to get put on the pill or something like the Implanon, contact your local free womens clinic and they will help you get what you need without your parents having to know anything at all.

  • When your not ovulating (which is a different time for all women, there is no certain "time" of the month for every woman), when you're on your period (still possible), when you use the pull out method CORRECTLY (works as much as not having protection when done wrong), when you're on birth control(you're probably saying "duh" to that but what's funny is that most women end up using the pill wrong and getting pregnant anyways. I have no idea why the pill is popular, it's a very overrated form of birth control). %50 of pregnancies are accidental. Hope you are better informed now.

    • how do you use the pill 'wrong'?

    • You have to take the pill everyday AND at a certain time everyday. If you don't take it at the right time or skip a day you have to start all over again. People use the pill incorrectly all the time.

  • We are currently learning this is Nursing school. =) I've heard form magazines that you can get pregnant at any time of your cycle. However, my professor said that you cannot get pregnant during your period. In fact, there are really only 3 days out of each cycle you CAN get pregnant. But still don't take any chances. =)

    • one of my closest friends got pregnant on her period..she now has a 4 year old son.

    • Interesting...What type of nursing school?

    • 3 days? What? Sorry but that's bullsh*t

  • According to a clinical survey, 70% of women have occasional irregular periods, which means that they could get pregnant about any day of the month. A small% can get pregnant while having their period.

  • The thing about best answer is, it assumes that the sperm inside you die within the same day of sex.

    That's not true.

Semen is there to protect and nourish the sperm, and therefore it causes the sperm to live on for a couple of days.

So, the pregnancy window is not just 3 days. It's a LOT larger than that.

    • Thank you!

  • I have used fertility awareness for over 14 years with only one accidental pregnancy at the end of year 14. link And I admit it was due to my careless ness (I was in love)

It is immediately before your period that is the most infertile time, unlike the more popular belief of "period time is the infertile time". I really suggest you learn to know when you are ovulating. I am so good at it I can catch when I ovulate more than once in a month, but until you really know yourself I suggest buying an ovulation checker at your local drugstore. They are relatively cheap and over the counter.

  • Please, you're young and just use contraception or abstinence. There's no such thing as luck and I wouldn't risk your future on something of a guess on when you can't get pregnant. Use birth control even.

  • There really is no time of the month that is totally safe. Since you are under 18 your body might still be figuring itself out and you may ovulate whenever. Also there is speculation that women ovulate more than once a month and is one of the reasons the rhythym method is not very good. Also keep in mind that sperm can live for up to five days inside. That's a long time. If you are considering having sex please talk to your mom/dad and discuss options that are open to you.

    • Dont worry, I'm still going to use a condom, I'm just scared because I've heard stories of the condoms breaking and getting pregnant. Having unprotected sex, especially at my age it very stupid. Also- my mom and dad are VERY conservative about sex. I tried talking to my mom about birth control, and she ended up getting angry for me even bringing it up.

    • Just remember that condoms aren't fail safe. Yes they do break or slip off occasionally. But with perfect use they are only 95% effective. With normal usage its only 85%. Just food for thought. Not to be preachy but I generally tell people that are thinking about it is are you ready to handle a baby because that can be a consequence. If you aren't maybe you need to wait a while because being adult enough to have sex is being adult enough to deal with the consequences.

    • Don't agree; for an instance, I'm not planning of getting kids before I'm at least 30. So I'm going to be a virgin 'till I'm... I don't think so!? (I know, you usually tend to abandon the planning, but this one is about other stuff to...)

  • depends on the woman, when you get your period and how long your cycle is. you can search for a fertility calculator. this will tell you when you are most fertile.

  • haha, never. even if there was, do you really want to schedual your sex life around a small amt of time just to have sex w/o a condom?

  • Its questions like these that lead to accidental babies. Don't worry about that, just make sure he wraps it up.

  • I just say don't take any risk if you don't want to get pregnant. Always use contraception if you don't want to get preggers.

  • The time of month when you buy and use birth control and condoms.

  • i hope your not asking this question so you can use the answer as a form of contraception. use legit tools designed for contraception, not days of the month. c'mon now.

    • nice answer!

  • When you're using contraceptives.

  • I always thought you wouldn't get pregnant when you have just finished your period but I guess I might be wrong :D

  • its when you're not ovulating that you can't get pg. no eggs, no baby.

though I'm sorry to tell you I don't remember if its right before or right after the period that you're not ovulating. but I came inside my ex a few times during that period and never got her pg.

and there is also the problem that sperm can sometimes stay in there for 2 weeks, so you might just get pg later.

  • right now

  • 11-13

  • when you're wearing protection.

  • durng menstruation

  • I believe its right after your period, but I have to say there's not really a safe time if were talking unprotected sex. Lol. <3

  • i think on Fridays. Fridays are lucky. for guys girls and turtles. it's how he won the race.

  • you can get pregnant win ever you have sex it dose not matter what time of the mouth it is so if you don,t what to get pregnant use a condom ever time and you my what to think a bot take the pill and be double safe

  • I have had unprotected sex during my periode before and not gotten pregnant thank God, but my sister said she got pregnant the day she had sex on her period so who knows.

I am reading a book and it says that 3-5 days after your periode should be safe but you have to really check your body temperature and also the week before your periode should be OK but again check your body temperature
