Sperm can live for a few days inside the vagina if that is what you are worried about. So some of those little buggers are working overtime! That's why if you're worried about pregnancy you need to use some form of birth control.
If you're just asking about the gooey mess then it's all about gravity and the viscosity of your sperm. Some of it starts flowing out pretty much right after you pull out but leakage can continue for up to a few hours. I wipe right after and that collects most of it. Also, I'll use a panty liner to collect the seepage. I hate semen stains in my undies.

If I remember correctly, sperm can stay alive in a woman for up to 3 days. It isn't super common, but because of this a woman can get pregnant even if she has sex a day or two before she ovulates.
