I have no double standard.
I'd go by percentages.
A person who sleeps with 20 people in the course of 10 years is not a whore.
A person who sleeps with 6 people in a month qualifies as a whore.
To the point it depends what the prevalence of one night stands and emotionless sexual relationships.
I'd also call a woman or man who's cheated on a serious partner twice a whore.
For example, I know a man and a woman who have questionable attitudes I'd say lean to whoredom:
The guy has had several girlfriends, he's cheated on four of them, one girlfriend he cheated on her three times. He's told me this himself. Not counting his one week sexual relationships I'd say that alone constitutes a whore as this is just five years of dating. But he's had short stints with anywhere from 5 to a dozen women. He's a whore.
The woman I know has developed into what I would classify as a whore, in the past two years she's had five partners she called boyfriends. Cheated on all but one. She also had numerous one night stands, some which ended in sex, some which ended in fondling, etc.
But in the end I'd say even a person who sleeps with a hundred people in 5 years is not a whore if that's their lifestyle. I consider people who setup relationships and cheat in them are the true whores. Because they classify partners as boyfriends or girlfriends, say they love them, and go have sex with someone else. THAT is a whore.

I'm going to agree with most of the people here. A whore charges money for sex, a slut gives it away for free to a LOT of people who aren't necessarily in relationships with them. I don't think there's a major distinction between guys and girls in terms of what makes them slutty (or whore-ish), BUT, generally speaking guys care more about how their girlfriend's behaved in the past than girls seem to care about guys. Nothing wrong with it--it just is what it is. Just like girls seem to care more about height than guys do.

I've heard a lot of people say that it's the way someone dresses that somewhat defines if they're a "slut" or not, but I don't believe that at all, it's based on the girls behavior. So when I think of a "ho" or "whore" the first thing that pops into my mind is a girl who sleeps around. She does a lot of stuff with different guys who aren't necessarily her boyfriend, and never really gives a damn.
I agree with you that there is an extreme double standard in some people's eyes, but it really all depends on the person looking at it Some will say it's worse for a girl to sleep around, others will say the guy is just as much in the wrong, and others won't give a damn. While I do have my opinions on what a 'slut' is defined as, I'm not one for judging and looking down on others for what they do. It's their life, not mine.
i don't believe in any of those terms for seriously trying to degrade people anyway. dirty talk is the only exception! :) I believe in sexual liberation and being responsible.
whore I guess is synonymous with being a prostitute in my mind, but id just call them prostitutes or sex workers.
im realistic though. most people like to buy into the madonna/whore complex. I've been called all those names before, and I suppose I meet the requirements of their use. I sleep around when I'm single. although I haven't ever cheated on any of my bfs, I have been the other woman several times.
some people may vary on details though. like how many guys? how many girls? things like that. .
I would think of a whore as a prostitute, or someone that purposely goes to a club or something for the purpose of having sex with as many people as possibly(that kind of thing) and goes through a lot of one night stands.
I think a slut is a girl that wears shorts skirts, low tops, piles of make-up etc, and is flirty, but may not have lots of sex..
a slag is a girl that sleeps around/gets around lots of men. But I think a slag is a more "lots of relationships"-y girl, whereas a whore or a hoe would be one night stands/doesn't know the guy

A slut, has no morals, no sense of self-worth and will f*** anything and everything that moves. She will steal your boyfriend, because she can, because she enjoys watching you suffer.
A Hoe is a gardening tool, a "Ho" is slang for "whore".
A concubine is a member of a harem, or a large group of women who 1 man "covers".
A succubus is synonymous for slut.

I agree that the double standard is ridiculous. I don't refer to women with any of those terms. I think female sexuality is a beautiful thing that should be cherished, not scorned. I think women should be able to be sexual without being looked down upon. A woman's sexual history or lack thereof does not make her any more or less of a person.
well we've chatted a bit but my opinion is that a woman is free to do as she pleases and should please herself to the fullest . The people who label a gal a derogatory term don't know the slightest thing about seeing pleasure or hearing a woman moan with pleasure.

The terms never cross my mind, like, ever, in regards to a person. Well, I mean, whore. A whore accepts money for sex and stuff, that's the only one I'd really use, haha. But even at that, I always say Courtesan or Working Girl, or Prostitute when being more formal about it.

Slut: An amorphous word that has no true definition, and is really just used by people to label others they don't approve of.
A hoe is the same thing as a whore.
It's pretty hard for a fuy to be labled a whore, but I guess if he's exchanging sexual favors/sex with a girl or guy who we wouldn't normally sleep with then he's a whore. A guy getting lots of sex just makes him head of the pack I guess, or really good. I agree with BoobMan sorta, girls do care more about height that guys do, but guys take stock in a girls sexual history.

You believe not feel. You don't feel this inside of you, you believe it. That's my first thing to say. Now, how is it justifiable that a male can have sex with three women in a week yet a female does the same and she's a slut/whore? I would REALLY love to hear how that is justifiable whatsoever!
