When did you girls start shaving your pubes? at what age and why?

question says it all really. how old were you when you first started shaving your pubes and why did you start?

Well I actually started when I was like 12, and I got my first pubic hair. But then after that, I let it go because everyone else on the (swim) team had pubic hair. I always found it gross though, especially during that time of the month ehm. So when I was 17 I finally shaved, and its been great since! guys like it a lot more, and even though I'm the only one on the team fully shaved, I know other girls that are so it makes me less lonely :) haha.

I started getting pubes when I was 8. I got really embarrassed by it because none of my friends had pubes at that age (we used to have baths together at sleepovers) and I didn't want anyone to know I had pubic hair so I shaved it off. I let it grow back a few years later because I couldn't be bothered shaving. Then I started shaving again when I became sexually active.

I started my period when I was 11, 2 days before my bday and I shaved that same night because I thought the blood in my vagina hair was so gross

I didn't realize we were supposed to until I went swimming with friends & they made fun of me because of the hair. I was around 16, & I began shaving (just for swimming) at that time.

It looked gross and we are not in the 60's and 70's anymore. I shaved mine in middle school.
