Why do girls think it's OK to post slutty pictures of themselves on Facebook?

I just want to know why girls keep posting slutty pictures of themselves on Facebook and when I guys comment on them and or try to friend request them they get blocked. Part of me think its sexy and part of me think its degrading and they want is attention. What do you guys think?

I think shouldn't have to expose themsleves on Facebook just to get notice and feel popular if they want a real man they can grew up be more mature.

  • I kind of agree. I'm a girl and I've sent slutty pictures in the past. But only directly to the person I wanted to see them. I've never had a slutty facebook picture, I don't see the appeal.
I was actually discussing this with a friend. Why do girls do this? Of course it's for attention. I honestly think it's a little degrading. Of course, you're free to do whatever you want! But think of the image you put out to other people.
I'm in a gaming community and there are girls there that will post bikini pictures, and it just makes me question: why do you need to get your validity from insecure, young gamer-boys online, when I'm sure you get enough attention IRL. Also, why would you want THAT kind of attention? You already get so many people paying attention you for for simply being a girl on TS... And it's hardly ever the good kind of attention. The kind of attention where someone values your personality and traits.

  • it's their choice to do that if they want. they don't have to approve every comment or friend request just because you got turned on by her pics. they are free to do what they want. I agree with the last answerer, it sounds like you're mad that you can't control these girls and have access to them. every woman wants attention, obviously they look good and are proud of how they look whether you approve of their actions is irrelevant. I doubt you'd be complaining if they added you as a friend and commented back to you, you're just mad that the sexy girls aren't responding to you

    • first of all I am not mad because they didn't add me, I am upset at the fact that girls have no class and they need to act slutty to get a guys attention sounds to me you fit right in that category.

    • why does it bother you so much? live and let live

    • because its a free country and I can express my opinions if I want to just like you can post slutty pictures anytime you want

    • Show All
  • Because part of you thinks it's sexy :P

It's just about attention and feeling "wanted."

Don't get me wrong, I agree that it's trashy.

    • yea but you think its right to get guys attention to make them feel good about themsleves?

    • I can't say whether it's "right" or "wrong," because morality is subjective. But I do think it's immature to rely on attention for your own self-esteem. Hopefully most of them will grow out of it.

    • i hope so too you sound like a very smart educated young girl, I hope you set examples for these other bimbos and show them how to be proper lady and maybe guys like us will respect you more.

  • Girls always love attention. Do not yell at me ladies. I know, guys do too

    • i agree with you man, that's all there are good for they can't seem to be alone without a guy so they have act and look slutty to get a guys attention ..GROSS!

    • Yeah I know. Personally, I don't like it either. It REALLY comes off as needy to me. But it doesn't matter. Each time I see one, it's another girl I can mark off the list of girls I might want to talk to

    • yea I feel the same way too, I mean come on how needy can you be?

What Girls & Guys Said

  • The sane reasons why guys post "slutty" pics on Facebook of themselves with their shirts off showing their abs and their pants below their waist.

  • because they want attention

    • and there are sluts

  • like Sammy Jo Gyllenskog

  • There are girls on this site who post slutty pictures of themselves. It's not just on Facebook.

    • well that's bad for them, who wants to see them anyways, a real classy women won't stup that level!

  • it's for attention and, believe it or not, it's a perfectly natural part of being human. as is being judgmental, as you know.

  • b/c girls who do that always seem to have bfs

    • and they are also slutss

  • Because it is OK for some people. Just because you disagree with it doesn't mean there now must be some law or social standard that makes it not OK. If you're upset with it enough that you'd post a question here about it, you're probably insecure and uncomfortable with female sexuality. Grow a pair.

    • grow a pair btich please you don't have to be slut to get a guys attention on Facebook , you don't see guys doing the same thing do you? OK then STFU!

    • Because girls aren't like guys, we're not so easily turned on and captivated when a guy is showing himself off. Guys however, are. Those girls usually have boyfriends and get lots of guy attention. Why wouldn't girls do that then?

    • because there dumb, young and stupid and needy

    • Show All
  • Not all girl need that attention only the ones that do that...maybe they think the look is the only think they got...

Can I ask a question how do you know you have been blocked? I mean if you werent friends and the person blocks you how would you know?

    • because you can see some of thier pictures of thier profile without been accepting a friends request.

  • its their choice to post whatever they want, its not your place to judge whether or not its okay.

    • well I don't think so honey, how would you feel if your boyfriend did the same thing and all the girls commented on his photo? would'nt that p*ss you off especially if you don't know none of them.

    • it wouldn't p*ss me off at all actually because I'm not insecure and overreactive over dumb sh*t. girlfriend either, since I like girls. and correct me in I'm wrong but all these girls aren't dating you, are they? so how is your scenario at all applicable?

    • because I am trying to prove a point that's what this whole discussion is about!
