At first I'd be frozen stiff, paralyzed at the idea someone would actually do such a thing in broad daylight. My hesitation, however, gives the punk the time he needs (which isn't long) to whip his penis out and start banging the girl against her will. That's when I'd be galvanized, charging in and tackling him off of her, using whatever means necessary to beat him to a pulp, such as trash can lids or even my fists. I wouldn't kill him (intentionally), but I'd want to. However, because even defense can get people arrested nowadays, I'd settle for giving him the thrashing of his life.
Hopefully he'll take the hint and run away with his tail between his legs, leaving me to see to the well-being of the poor girl he assaulted to begin with. Hopefully this incident hasn't transformed her into a modern-day feminist (you know, the man-hating kind). I'm still stuck on what exactly I would do for her. Telling the police is an obvious alternative, but that itself comes with some serious risks which I'll only elaborate on if you ask me to.
That's the "ideal" scenario for a situation like this. Truthfully, seeing a woman raped is NOT very high on my bucket list (it's not even on there at all), but if it happens this is how I'd prefer things to go down, realistically.
If he's already raping her, I would call the cops and hope he sticks around long enough to get caught by them. If they're just struggling and he hasn't raped her yet, I would yell down the alley, hopefully that would make him run away. THEN I would call the cops. I don't think I would have the guts to get physical... I don't want to get killed if he's armed, as selfish as that sounds.
Would I know it was a rape? If I saw two people in an alley outside a bar, I would probably quickly look away, since I've accidentally seen many a love scene. But if I knew it was rape, I would yell loudly, because most rapist/robbers don't want to be caught. Then I'd probably call the cops if I had my phone. One of us would probably run back inside to get help, too.
I would want to save the girl, so if I stepped in and try to rescue her , probably we'll both get raped/killed and nobody is rescued here. So, I'll probably call the cops, try to memorize how he looks like and make sure to get her help, if any.
I would yell "Stop" and keep making noise so I could make a distraction and call the police

I'd call the cops while quickly getting the attention of anyone else nearby. Then stop him together. I'd stick around and give my statement to authorities. Detaining the guy until authorities take custody.
I usually pack a knife, so he's probably bleed a little. and/or just break him a bit...or a lot...
I don't know what I would do for sure , but I would probably have gone on rampage and cracked his head open with something hard , he would end up to the police for sure (or maybe I would end up arrested for killing him , I really hate people that go as far as doing these sick things ) .

I usually carry a small knife ( for several good reasons, pocket knives are too brittle, etc ).
So I'd probably stab the man, but not fatally, like probably in his arm. Then see how it goes.

well, assuming she's screaming for help I would run in and beat the f***er until he could walk. then I would call the police. I might beat him up some more while they're on there way.
I'd probably yell at him to get his attention to try and get him to stop. I don't think I'd approach him as they often have knives. If he didn't stop upon being discovered, I'd call around for help to try and bring as much attention to him as possible.
As soon as I was sure it was a rape I'd immediately phone the police.
