Should I tell my boyfriend that I'm having my period?

Alright so my boyfriend of about five months and I are planning on going out this weekend for a date. We had talked about going to third again, because we've only done it a few times before. However, I woke up this morning to find that I had gotten my period a few days early. So the question is, how do I tell my boyfriend that I can't go to third? Is it better to just come out and tell him that I'm having my period? Or will that turn him off Should I ask him if we could just hang out and watch a movie/cuddle without mentioning that its my time of month? Any advice or answers are extremely appreciated :) thanks!

  • First you are looking at your period as something nasty which it is not. You can and should go all the way if you choose to. He doesn't have to know at all until he gets his hand in your pants then you can whisper it in his ear. If you treat your period as nasty and will think it is nasty unless your a real heavy bleeder then it still in only normal. You should not start keeping secrets from your Boyfriend he just might get the wrong idea like oh she doesn't want to do it or go to third is she thinking about someone else? Girls often stop having sex with a guy when they are breaking up or seeing another they don't do two guys at once so NO SECRETS. If you treated as normal most likely so will he remember he has no clue what you go through each month and You don't realize how intense sex can be when your having your period. So tell him and say I really want you it might be a little messy but it will be great I'm pre-lubed lol. Think about it... The other approach will be to tell him as he's going to third keep the plug in and let him bring you to O just playing with your clit then give him a BJ :) and always take him in until you start gag.but what ever you do when you pull the plug be discreet don't show him that will turn him off.

    • I agree sex is best during periods!

  • Nothing wrong with telling him, it's only a natural thing. Heck, if he's considerate enough he might even treat you more nicely if he knows you're in an uncomfortable spot.

The only thing that would turn me off would be if you started to describe it in graphic detail to me and such.

    • Haha don't worry, I won't go into detail. Thanks for the answer :)

  • Yeah, just ask him to come over and you could watch a scary movie (that brings on PLENTY of cuddling :). You probably should tell him, because it happens to all girls annyway. Plus, I don't know if he is this kind of person, but he might want to have sex or something.

  • If he's man enough to have a girlfriend, then he's man enough to cope with what makes you female too.Tell him if he's squeamish then he cant' have "third", simple.

  • Well I always just say ...that is if he hasn't worked it out by then! Like its not ment to be secretive, it's natural...not a turn off!

  • Definitely tell him. Either come right out and say it, or tell him in a way that he's absolutely sure to understand. Saying "I'm sick" doesn't cut it.

But there are still plenty of things to do, especially if you use tampons instead of pads.

  • You can tell him when you see him. I'm sure he'd understand. Especially if you suggest some alternative activity ;)

  • Tell him.. what is the big deal? worst thing that can happen is that he'll grow up .

    • <3<3<3=D

    • ^_^

  • First of all...what could possibly be wrong with informing him?...2nd of all..some guys don't mind periods and some do..he just might want to fool around anyway..and part of this depends on whether you use pads or tampons...fortunately all of my females have always used tampons...(:

    • Haha yes I am 100% a tampon girl. Pads are like wearing diapers, I hate them haha

    • It's pads that have that gawdawful smell...strings are cute and fun! I have always been willing to give oral when with tampon..but I know quite a few guys won't...(:

    • lol at the strings being cute and fun! But they are kinda cool as long as they stay in there! I saw one used it is was pretty disgusting. But yea periods are fine with me. I'm not sure if id go as far as oral but I would consider whatever she wanted.

  • Come out and just tell him...guys need to grow up!

    • Exactly bro right on! I mean if your girlfriend/fiancee/ wife are PMSing don't make them feel "icky and nasty" but tell her nice things. Also, if she allows you give her a hug or even cuddle with her. Its all natural and apart of the woman. The thing is when a woman is PMSing is to make her feel good about herself. We guys who been in a relationship know this and I know the woman I'm with right now will buy her tampoons :)

  • Be yourself and enjoy PMSing he will get the idea after your mood swings and trips to the bathroom.

When my finance was on her period I just told her very nice things. For example, "I love you with all my heart. You are beautiful. You are number #1 in my life. I like your soft long hair. Your cute little nose and luscious lips."

    • Aww that's really sweet, your fianc? is lucky to have you. Thanks for the answer!

  • I don't see what the big deal is about telling him. It's natural, and he'll understand how you feel and your reasoning a little better.

    • Okay, I definitely will. Thanks for the answer :)
