Go for it! They look great on most people. I got mine done 5 or 6 months ago. They usually take 9 months to heal completely!
Expect bleeding on the first week, but they will discharge almost every day- very easy to handle- just wipe it off with your fingers or nails (wash beforehand, though!). I feel no pain now, but I would say wait 3 or 4 months before any licking, but touching should be fine after 2. My nipples are a little more sensitive, I can't really tell. It's different for everyone.
Painwise: yeah, it hurt. It's a sharp, piercing pain for about 4 or 5 seconds, but you forget about it almost immediately after. I felt fine afterwards, got some candy to reward myself. I will say this- wear a cheap bra the first week at night bc it will be ruined. Very deep bloodstains. It won't hurt a lot, but it will bleed like shit.
I have one of my nipples pierced. The piercing itself didn't hurt but the clamp before really hurt! It's a little sore and tender for quite a while but not really painful at all. I really like mine, no one has ever been out odd by it. The guy who said he'd be dubious about a girl who can get her boob out for a stranger is being silly, it's just the same as going to the doctor. it honestly all comes down to taste, I personally find nipple piercings extreamly attractive however only when they are the dumbell piercing I find the others a bit trashy, again like I said its tastes. But if you want one get it and get whatever type you want if a guy likes you he will take you for all you are and if he likes the piercing great, if he dosnt well if he likes you he won't bitch about it.

whileboth would be more astheticaly pleasing beingsymetrical and what not,having only one done gives the option when playing with them between plaiying with a nipple al natural or pierced, so I guess it depends on whether you put more value on how hot it looks or on the variability with nipple play during sex
