Sharing the bathroom with your partner

How do you feel about sharing the bathroom at the same time with your hubby, wife, girlfriend, boyfriend etc. For myself I have never given it much thought as my wife and I are in ours together a lot of the time. She might be showering and me my morning constituinal etc. Many times I will be talking with her as she is sitting on the pot. Just what are your thoughts on this?

It doesn't really bother me. We've only been together for like four months so far, but we live together and are very comfortable with each other and our own/each others' potential/occasional 'grossness'. Like this morning, my boyfriend came in to take a crap while I was getting ready for my shower, and was on the pot for a little while still after I'd gotten in, and we just talked normally the whole time. I don't think I've pooped with him in there with me yet, but I pee all the time when he's doing something else in the same bathroom. Or one of us might be going through our full shaving routine while the other hangs out or does whatever. I think it's just stuff you get desensitized to when you live with a partner, and it's unrealistic to think they'll only ever or SHOULD only ever see you at your primped and perfect 'best' 24/7.

Not being in a steady relationship around my place I don't get a lot of bathroom sharing, but when I do it is either us showering together or one showering and the other peeing. I don't think #2 is something you do with company unless you are no longer company, but have been around for awhile. I'm going to guess that newly weds don't even share the room for that moment.

I gather after years of marriage you do however?

I like to poop in peace but if they gotta use the bathroom that's fine. I don't like to talk while I'm on the toilet because I need to concentrate but if I'm taking a shower or changing or brushing my teeth that's fine.

Well of course peeing is no big deal at all...or brushing my teeth or shaving...I prefer privacy if I am doing anything that stinks (vomit & feces) and it is cold in the shower if she is coming and going..and we are seriously bumping into each other if both trying to use the sink & mirror...so all depends...I am totally fine for some stuff and don't like other stuff at all...(:
