Likely guys are far more prone than gals to being late bloomers in dating and relationships as I highly doubt most guys want a relationship with a gal beyond f*cking her. I don't see most male fantasies, dreams, paradies, or envied lifestyles being faithful to one gal. I do see them described as f*cking loads of young attractive gals with no commitment.

Meanwhile, studies have shown, that women are only attracted to a very small percentage of the worlds men, meanwhile the percentage of women that are attractive to men* (made an edit) is much larger.

I wouldn't say there are necessarily more "late bloomer" male virgins than female ones. I WOULD say that men can be more bothered or upset by being a virgin at a later age, and this could lead to more attention being brought to male virgins. I haven't seen any indication that women tend to have more sex partners than men over their lifetimes.

I don't think it's FAR more, but probably a little bit more.

It gets close to equal when you take into account that women are far more likely to abstain from sex for the sake of "purity" or wait until marriage because of their values or concerns. That's only sex though, not relationships/dating.

Studies are also showing that women generally have more sex partners than men, too. Also, more women than men have STIs. Also again, we're supposed to be descended from twice as many women as men.

The average male loses his virginity at age 16.9; females average slightly older, at 17.4.

CDC, 2006-2008:

15-24 year old men: 27% virgins

15-24 year old women: 29% virgins

25-44 year old men: 3% virgins

25-44 year old women: 2% virgins

I would say that it's even.  It's just more socially acceptable for women to be virgins at 25 than men.  For men it's an embarrassment to be a virgin past a certain age.  It's like virginity is something they need to get rid of.  It's the exact opposite for women.  We're told to keep it longer, and you're told to get rid of it earlier.  How does that make any sense?

There are definitely more female virgins in the world.  As far as 25+ virgins that never dated or been in a relationship that's hard to say.
