Why does my boyfriend make pregnancy jokes?

Sometimes, my boyfriend will joke with me that he wants to get me pregnant or his 'attempt' after we last had sex failed. Sometimes, he'll even rub my belly asking if his baby's inside. I usually joke with him about it, but the last time I got serious and said I don't want a baby now. He said I was being too serious and he said it was only a joke. I agreed and we moved on to another topic. I trust him and I know he won't try to do anything to actually get me pregnant, but I was wondering something: I read somewhere that if a guy makes these types of jokes, he sees you as either as the possible mother of his children or he wants a long-term committed relationship with you. Is this true? Guys: What do you think and why would you make jokes like this? Girls: your thoughts? Has your boyfriend ever made jokes like this to you? How did you react? Again, to state for the record, I don't think my boyfriend will try anything and I trust him, I'm just curious about others opinions.

Haha, you're over thinking like a typical girl :P Yes my boyfriend does make these pregnancy jokes all the time. But honestly he doesn't want a child until much much later in his life...maybe when he's...40? 50? I have no idea. but I do know that if I get pregnant right now, he'll probably go nuts.
