Men picture women naked

Today in my psych class, we discussed how men will picture just about every female naked while talking to them. That's fine, whatever. I know it's something most guys can't really control. And that sometimes it's involuntary so you can't help it. You even picture the ugly girls naked and whatnot. However, my question is...what about female family members? Would you picture your daughter naked? Even if it were unintentional? Would you picture your mother naked? How about your sister? Just a few situations that popped into my head as a result of today's lecture.

When were were both very young, my sister had an annoying habit of running around the house naked. She thought it was funny to see everyone else look so creeped out. So I didn't have to imagine what she looked like with nothing on.

Walked in on my mom at age three by accident. Was weirded out and left the room.

Nudity gestalt-o-vision works when viewing pretty much every woman. The trick is not to never envision a woman naked. It's to know when to throw out the mental image as irrelevant or find an excuse to maintain it.

My mind doesn't simply retain assumptions of a gal's nude figure. It also assigns an abstract concept of what she smells like, however inaccurate that association may be. A skinny little waif with freckles and red hair who likes to dress in pink and is always smiling will become a strawberry lotion, even if she hasn't showered that morning and shows up late for a class smelling like chicken soup and brownies.

Meanwhile, a human whale with curly black hair and glasses with a bossy personality is going to be remembered as a raccoon carcass being attacked by a swarm of flies, even if her hygiene is perfect and she shows up smelling like blueberries.

It's why I'm glad to be prefrontal cortex-dominant as opposed to hypothalamus-dominant: I don't have to let my choices in women or my treatment of them be based on prejudiced instincts. Only experience can make me truly bitter.

We don't picture every girl naked. We are not mentally desperate to see every girl naked. I have had a few ugly, smelly female teachers/professors, and I really don't want to see them naked. Plus, we focus on the conversation, or your look; but not imagining you naked.

I've pictured the male members of my family naked, and have seen most of them at some point or other as the youngest sister of a family full of boys. I know peeking at each other as we got older was a thing, so yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if guys do picture even family members naked.

Not true. Most guys picture "some" girls naked, Some picture lots of girls naked. But the thought of picturing a girl naked while talking to her? lol. If a guy is slobbering all over himself and tripping over his tongue while talking to you, then okay, he might just be fantasizing. But if he is holding an intelligent conversation and looking you in the eye, he is not.

Well, not really... While guys are programmed to look at women, we don't see everyone of them as naked. Now, women that we find attractive, yes, we put effort into that, family members and people we would rather never even envision unclothed, like my 7th Grade English teacher, no.

i think its more of social protocol than anything that suppresses those thoughts from people

i don't have a sister. I don't think I've ever pictured someone really ugly naked, in a sexual way anyway.

Ask yourself the same question, and then apply the opposite to men ;)

Age matters and other factor is closure, you can't be that close to your family as compared to other women

I wouldn't say I've pictured family members naked but have wondered sometimes what one has looked like maybe (same as pictured?). Not in a sexual way, more just curiosity. I don't have a daughter to comment there but I have wondered about mom and sister before. Again, it's curiosity about the naked female form, nothing sexual.

Do women not sometimes do this to. Just curiosity about what a guy make look like naked? Not necessarily attracted to him, just curious?

I don't do that. If I'm bored, I'll sit there and fantasize. I look at body parts, but I don't just check out immediately with that. I definitely don't do that with family members.

What gender was you teacher anyway?

That's a surprise. I question that type of stuff anyway. Like, the thing about guys thinking about sex every seven seconds or whatever it is. I don't do that either. How would anything get done if that was true?
