Can guys control their sexual urges?

Not trying to offend anyone here, but can guys control their sexual urges? I mean, if you see someone you find attractive, do you feel the urge to (try to) sleep with her or to masturbate to get rid of the urge? Can you control yourself from responding? I'm just asking because a guy I know just asked me to go and sleep with him, and I don't know if he did it because he's just horny or if he's genuinely interested in me and not because he just finds me hot.

  • It depends a lot on what type of a guy you are, and it depends what he's expecting from a woman!

    In our times, we're brought up to believe that sex is "free". So, we tend to see it as a no-price-attached free meal!

    I don't believe this point of view. You can't get into bed with someone without very deep emotions being played on (unless you're a very cynical type).

    I've seen a lot of women who turn me on, and whom I might be easily tempted to jump into bed with. Yet, I would almost always resist the temptation, and not follow up on my urges, knowing what the consequences might be.

    You're other question about masturbation is something very different... If I've not had sex for many days, and need some form of relief, it's quite possible that I might end off masturbating to some sensual pictures. Usually not a mental image of someone I know...

    As for guys wanting to sleep with you, it has everything to do with what impression you give them. If you make them feel that you're an easy lay, they'll just treat you as free food!

  • When I see a girl that I like, subconsciously I do want to have sex with her but not because we just want to release our urge. But because I like a girl that I picked and I want to feel her ( Guys feel a lot more emotions through physical sex that's why we want girls so much). Though I have to say sometimes it is annoying feeling too. Like when you standing behind a girl in lane who's wearing tight leggings, it's like COME ON! or better yet when I'am with a Girlfriend and there is girl in front with a nice butt, always gets me in trouble.   • Yes, we can. We have to learn to control ourselves from puberty, and by the time we are about 15, we have it under control UNLESS we intentionally relax our control. If we didn't have this control, we would be grabbing on girls constantly.

    That doesn't mean we aren't hit with the occasional wave of strong desire that makes it hard to maintain control, but we can still do it.

    Now,that has little to do with whether a guy likes you or is just physically attracted to you. The only reliable way to know that is to require a real, official relationship before you have sex.
