I have a butt, but no hips- is this bad?

My boyfriend says he prefers my body type (I'm skinny with narrow hips, but I lift/squat a lot so I have a big round butt from the side). He says he prefers it to wide hips. My measurements are 34-24-37 so it would appear I'd be somewhat curvy, but my bottom measurement is all butt, no hips. But evolutionary science says all men prefer wide hips. Mine aren't totally nonexistent but they're pretty narrow. Is it possible my boyfriend is telling the truth? Doesn't science say otherwise? Do any men out there actually prefer narrow hips?

Look, no guy leaves a girl because her hips aren't wide enough. That just doesn't happen. Obviously your boyfriend finds your body attractive, and that's all that really matters, no matter what you have or what you look like (and that goes for every girl).

What is far more likely to make him leave you is your INSECURITY about your body. If you are always obsessing on this stuff (that he doesn't really care about), then that becomes irritating and frustrating to him, and will eventually drive him away. Learn to accept your body (as he did long ago), and stop worrying about it. As long as it doesn't CHANGE significantly in a bad way (like you gaining a lot of weight), your body will never be an issue in your relationship unless YOU make it one.

Well, if all men were just to prefer girls with wide hips, then we wouldn't be as many people (or girls with narrow hips) walking on this planet.

The world is not black and white, and men aren't programmed to just leave a girl solely because of her hips aren't "wide enough".

I honestly don't care if she has wide hips or not, I care more about her personality, how loyal, trustworthy and honest she is than how wide her hips are.

I could say the same about evolutionary science have proven that women always go after the alpha male, just because something is proven doesn't mean every girl are just lining up towards CEO's and ignoring every other man out there, haha

Well, I would say it is possible scientifically speaking. I'm not sure whether wider hips brings better offspring(s) or something. I guess the same could be said about women going after alpha males, it might not be the optimal but then again, it will probably do more than enough for the two to survive.

I think that those measurements are good. Some men like big butts (like me) some want big hips other big boobs, the bottom line is that you have a boyfriend that you love that says he loves the way you look so it shouldn't matter. Forget what others think and realzie that you do look good.

Confidence is going to be one those things. I love a woman who is comfortable in her own skin. Obviously we don't know what you look like but from what you are saying those measurements are legit!

Don't worry about your look worry about your personality. That's what really keeps a man. I've seen stick figure women pull in some guys due to being sexy and interesting.
