Why does he high fives me after sex?

Question

we've only done it twice. great sex. we get done and kind of lay there next to each other. we don't cuddle too much because its kind of new and we are just having fun. then he'll catch his breath and put his hand up to high five me. I do it, its funny but nothing I've ever experienced before or heard of. is there a reason he would do this, or is this just his personality? would you high five a girl after sex? why? lol it doesn't bother me, just kind of want to know what everyone thinks.

My boyfriend has a really funny personality and we have GREAT sex, he high fives me after sometimes and we laugh about it as if it was a team effort... Take it as a good thing but if he starts showing signs of him wandering to "friend zone" then I would question him straight up and ask him how he feels.

It sounds like his way of implying to you that things are more in the "friends (with benefits) zone." Especially since you also mention lack of cuddling, etc.

I think he was just trying to be playful and funny, and maybe doesn't really know what else to do after.  It went over well the first time so he did it again.
