Why do many guys put their hand down their pants?

While they're hanging out at home or on the coach or whatever I noticed a lot of guys will randomly have a hand down the front of their pants.  Why do they do this?

There are really only two reasons to do this:

1. Adjusting. Just like you adjust your boobs in your bra, we need to adjust sometimes. Things get caught, twisted, or cramped, and it can be annoying or even painful.

2. To stimulate. I've had GFs who, in private, will subconsciously start rubbing/teasing their clit through their panties, because they're comfortable and a bit horny and they aren't thinking about manners or any of that stuff. Guys do the same thing, except that some guys can be a bit more uncouth about it, and will do it in front of people who aren't even their sex partner. But, bottom line, it's for stimulating themselves a bit.

I know I find it awkward and try not to do it, the older you get though the less you care. It's all about scratching something that itches or readjusting what's down there so it's more comfortable. We are not doing anything sexual or making sure nothing walked off ;)
